Virginia GOP Nominee Believes Gays Are ‘Very Sick’ And Democrats Are Worse Than The KKK

I love it. The more of these knuckle dragging nut cases that the GOP has in the news headlines...the more that voters will see that the party is still controlled by religious fundies and mental incompetents. The midterms will be as delightful to watch as the 2012 races.

^ I didn't know there were any so-called BDSM clubs in DC. Certainly the Eagle is not, so I wonder what club you went to.

It never fails to amaze me that, even with all the problems of the world, these people see "GAY PEOPLE" as by far the biggest and most horrible problem anywhere on Earth.

Much worse than fraudulent contractors (abetted by the world's discount textile retailers) being complicit in a building collapse which kills a thousand people, ongoing wars killing untold thousands more, unjust prosecution, ecocide, loss of manufacturing jobs to "cheap" countries, Wall Street fraud and theft, etc.

No, being gay is a MUCH worse problem than all these things. Must be true. That's all some of these people talk about.

In fact, the problem with gay people is NEARLY as horrific as knowing that somebody is talking on a cell phone in a restaurant on the other side of town.

Is this guy still going to face a primary in 2014, or is he already the one who will be on the ballot? ("Nominee" means, I think, that the candidate has survived all primary challengers in the Party they belong to.)

If he still faces primaries, he probably will NOT be "primaried," but instead likely to win. If any of these type of GOP neanderthals (and the GOP has the absolute monopoly on these types) actually gets "primaried," maybe it will signal that the USA is turning a corner at long last.

No,he's on the ticket. You look up and down the lineup for the Republican party in Virginia and it's a contest to see who the most anti-gay is.
If this doesn't get the Democratic base out, nothing will.

This should go in a book on how to get single-digit returns on election night...

except the "evangelical" movement has churned out enough blind bigots it won't work out that way.

INdeed..here's the thing..they will only win if our base doesn't get out and vote..simple as that.

It's too bad the Deomcratic nominee is so awful..but all the good candidates either won't run or won't give up their senate or congressional seats to do it.

One would hope that Prop 8 would have taught that lesson.

2010 should have taught that. Some seats were going to be lost..others one were winnable if we had simply gotten out and voted.
Say what you will about the far right, but rain or shine they WILL vote.
As for Prop 8...our side simply took for granted how liberal California was and didn't do enough outreach etc like some people said they should have.

I tried to find the article for a headline I saw the other day relating to this thread -- but Google didn't co-oporate...

The headline was:

Black Man joins the Republican Party and goes Insane

:rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao:

All I'll say is this..if the Democrats and others don't get off their butts and vote, they deserve what they get.
