Gay couples should not be allowed to adopt because they are unable to love a child like heterosexuals. Gay couples are too selfish and preoccupied with clothes and body waxing and shit like that. They are also incapable of monogamy and are more likely to split up and then what would happen to the children?

No good will ever come from it.
 
I think gay male couples were made for adopting unwanted kids, especially unwanted gay kids------what I don't really get is why gay male couples have to go thru all this nonsense for a woman to carry a kid. Just adopt-- it's such a good thing to do for society.

I suppose the same reason that many straight couples prefer to have their own children rather than adopt? Of course adoption is great, but many people have a very real desire to reproduce biologically.
 
If the superuncle theory is correct then we are destined to. There are two million homeless children at some point every year in the US and half a million are in need of a permanent home.
 
I'm glad to see that so many people here a pro-adoption. I wasn't too sure about that myself. I think that if two people are willing to take someone else's child into their home and raise them and love them when no one else will they should be able to. No matter what their sexuality. There are so many unwanted children in this world it's tragic. Why discriminate against a couple just because of their sexual orientation?

It is really about what is in the best interests of children, so I am pro adoption not from the standpoint of the rights of any adult. Unfortunately, prejudices remain strong among many and the children are the ones whom get hurt the most. The US though has one of the highest approval ratings for adoption by gay couples in the world.

PERKINS: Well, we know from the social science that children do best with a mom and a dad. That's why our policies in this country have preferred marriage and given benefits to it.
But let me -- if love is the factor, what boundaries are there?

OLSON: You want the sky to fall because two people living next door to you –

OLSON: What court after court after court has said, that allowing people of the same sex to marry the person that they love, to be part of the community and to be treated equally, does no damage to heterosexual marriage.

OLSON: And court after court after court has said children living in a same-sex relationship do as well or better than people in other communities.

Someone keeps forgetting to tell these news shows that Tony Perkins is the head of a hate group who does not even deserve a place at the table in any kind of respectable debate.
