Yeah right now Russia is in a really fucked up place you know that right? There is a massive wealth gap and its getting wider and wider. My partner has a friend out in Moscow who runs a business, who now says he might have to leave after 15 years working out there because no one will do business with any Europeans - this will be the way for a while now and will only increase the problems we have.

Dominance is futile? It is Putin trying to dominate Europe - so are his actions futile?

What is Russia's place? A world power? A dictatorial nightmare run by an elite?

Putin got in at the right time for sure as it meant all the gas etc. could be developed enough to make them a rich nation again and the 90s in Russia was a fucking warzone. My closet friend moved from St. Petersburg in about 2002 to the UK and his description of post-Soviet Russia is insane - gun shoots waking him up every, gangs blowing up cars, packs of wild dogs roaming his neighborhood and all the children were taught to never go near a European made car because someone might snatch you on the streets and sell your organs. So sure he might appear like a great leader in the history books but its not that much down to him outside of timing. His entire premiership has been one war or another - from Chechnya and Dagestan to Georgia now through to Ukraine.

Also what the hell does his "physique" have to do with his actions. You do realise that any "valid" point you "may" have made, has been rendered moot, by that last sentence.

I was just thinking how the Dominant narcissistic type always look rather toned, that aside i think he's an amazing leader. He knows how to take care of buisness.

Her notion of the "UK", ended at the Scottish border. Her treatment of the miners, and using the police as a paramilitary force in combating their protests, should bring shame to anyone with any social integrity.
