So, the 2009 MTV VMAs are tonight. I'm actually pretty excited about it. They're bringing it back to Radio City Music Hall.

Anyways, what are ya'lls predictions?

I really think Beyonce will take Video of the Year. This past year, there hasn't been a music video that made a huge impact like "Single Ladies." Yes, you could argue that it seemed cheap and low-budget. But like most notable music videos, it was memorable -- zombies in Thriller to burning crosses in Like a Prayer. I think because Single Ladies was virally infectious, Beyonce is definitely a front runner for Video of the Year.
 
They should just give all the awards to Beyonce and Jay Z and be done with it. Sorry, sorry, they should give a few to Kanye West to avoid any trouble.
 
I think Britney Spears will open with an awesome Michael Jackson song performed energetically and flawlessly.
 
I can wait to see Janet open the show in honor of her brother. I think Beyonce & Kanye might get a couple and since its MTV, Lady gaga might be the big winner since its been her year. All the performances should be good, but Russell Brant or whatever his name is going to bore me.
 
I don't remember the last time I was actually interested in them, but I am for tonight. Hopefully Janet pulls it off. I'm sure Gaga will be insane. (If you haven't seen it, check out her MuchMusic performace on Youtube. I can't imagine that tonight won't be just as out-there.)
 
Every year, it's the same. I tell myself I'm not going to get excited about it, but I do anyway, and I always end up highly disappointed. I'm sure this year will be no different.

I never watch this show for the awards though. I hardly ever agree with the selections for nominations and the winner. I watch for the performances.

What a effing douche Kanye is. He will take heat for that. Why didn't Taylor do something or just laugh it off?
 
^ Taylor was accepting her award and was very sweet about winning. Then Kanye literally got up from his seat and grabbed the mic from Taylor and starting going off about how Beyonce deserved it and how she had the greatest video of the year. Unbelievable.
 
He's just jealous that a country singer won the award (GO TAYLOR) and plus he just wants attention like at the Grammys.
 
I have to admit. I thought Lady Gaga was some temporary little no talent.

After that performance, she has a new fan. That was just gooood!

Beyonce didn't look pleased he did it. I think she was happy to let Taylor win.

Let's not accuse Beyonce of something she didn't want to happen or do.

Lady Gaga just gave me another reason for loving her. The bloody moment was a reference to one of the greatest operas ever!
