Okay, okay, okay. After I saw the Superman vs. The Hulk thread, I figured why not make a versus thread of Marvel characters (although Superman is DC). Anyway, it's pretty simple; respond with who will win, and why, if necessary. Anyone can post a battle if he or she chooses.

Magneto vs. Apocalypse
 
i'd go with apocalypse over magneto.

but only if he's written to his full strengths. comics tend to put him at a disadvantage when fighting magneto. just my 2 cents...
 
Magneto doesn't stand a change against Apocalypse. Such comparison of power level and abilities is ridiculous, to say the least.
 
I agree, it should be characters whose strengths and abilities are similar--how about superman vs The Gladiator?

That would be awesome! I've always thought of Gladiator as Marvel's Superman, in a way. This would be a match I'd definately like to watch.
As to who would win...quite frankly, I don't know. Both their strength is pretty much the same.
 
i would go with rogue.

she hulk has strength but rogue has her mutant ability to absorb the other persons strength and powers. if she holds on to someone too long she could kill them.

well... deadpool can regenerate/heal but i wonder how much damage he can take? does he have a limit? how many times has he died so far? i'm taking a chance here and going with ghost rider because of his super natural capabilities.

AND if she DOES hold on till theyre dead she permanently keeps their powers aka how she gained her ability to fly by killing miss marvel ... or so my X-Men expert friend tells me

Nope. Rogue only absorbs certain people's powers permanently. Ms. Marvel as well as Sunfire are exceptions because of the DNA they contain. Generally, she just absorbs their memories permanently and their abilities for a limited amount of time. She would still kill She-Hulk with her absorption ability though.

Well, the thread was supposed to be Marvel characters vs. Marvel characters. Since you brought up this battle however, I would easily go with Superman. Wolverine possess a regeneration factor, but he is not invincible. He can be killed.

In the comics, movies, or cartoons, Wolverine would probably win because he is Marvel's main cashwhore (see X-3 for example). Realistically, Superman could drag Wolverine into outer space or freeze him to death or use a heat ray on him. There are so many people who could put a hurting on Wolverine with their abilities.
