Odds are, right now, that Romney will be our next President in 2012...it is of course too early to tell and many things can happen between now and the election.

What Are the Chances for Republicans?
http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2011/11/03/magazine/538-gdp-election-calculator.html

I'm really sad that the Clown Car candidates like Romney, Cain, and Perry are taking attention away from Jon Huntsman. I wouldn't vote for him because of his positions on several issues, but he seems like the only valid and qualified and on-point Republican candidate this year.

if you think the HUGE current right winged conservatives - conservatives - bible thumpers - middle America population is going to vote for a mormon think again - according to the polls they would rather have a black man who has 4 allegations of sexual harrassment hanging over his head... personally I think the repubs have shot themselves in the dick again - if they would have produced just one single canidate that even borders on remotely normal thay may be able to win - and maybe even in a landslide - but its nothing short of a 3 ring circus - pretty confident there will be 4 more years of Obama...

gingrich - perry - bachman - really ? this is the best they can come up with ROTFLMAO

I don't think so.

Romney is not conservative enough for the conservatives and the Christian Right won't support him because he is Mormon. In general, he appears to be a waffler.

Too soon.

Too speculative.

Too likely Romney will splinter the Christian Right; LDS and Christendom never have kissed and made nice.

And lastly, it's not like the American electorate is looking across the seas and seeing other economies not affected by the depression/recession. It's global. Willpower alone isn't going to end it.

I predict a second term for the president.

Despite all the squawking about socialized medicine, Mr. Obama has been largely a centrist. He's kept the military intact and continued the bailout of the fatcats in the same way Mr. Bush had started. He's done a go-slow on gay rights and the environment. Hell, he's almost a Clinton, minus the affairs.

I predict we'll get a republican president next if Obama continues to do badly, and we continue to see NO IMPROVEMENT in the economy. Do you think people will vote for a guy who hasn't created any new jobs? You are aware that USA's debt has grown more during Obama than any of the former presidents - COMBINED, right? Just asking.. do you really think Obama is doing a good job on the fiscal policies? Forget about LGBT rights and issues for a while.. I'm talking about the economy.. has the economy gotten better or worse during his presidency? USA has basically seen NO IMPROVEMENT during his presidency. People are luke warm to him to say the least. It also doesn't help that he is having a hard time satisfying people: the liberals think he's too much to the right, the repubs think he's too much to the left. His ploy of "paying nice and being friends, meeting in the middle" with the repugs has failed. He has failed. He was willing to cut social security, which isn't very democratic of him at all. He has done all this.. and for what? there has been no improvement in the economy. I even found it offensive when he called social security for "entitlements", like it's something we can just toss aside. Again.. not very democratic of him. If he continues to fail and if we continue to see no improvement in the economy, then yes.. Romney is a real contender. You think Romney is splitting the Christian votes? How about Obama pissing off the liberals? So many people are not happy with him right now, and understandably so. He will be a one term president if he doesn't get his act together. The people want to see the economy getting better. That hasn't happened yet. People want a change, people want to end the financial crisis. Many people think the repugs can do just that. I mean.. the deomcratic party has failed, so might as well try something new, right? That is what many people are thinking right now.

My bet is that we'll have a republican president come next year if the economy keeps getting worse, and my bet is that it will, because Obama is not doing enough.

It will boil down to one fact: has the economy gotten better or worse during Obama? The repugs will use it against him, the people will lose faith in him, even more than right now, and people want change, people want someone who can better the economy. Romney can do just that. I think he'll win next year.

I don't think so.

just like the liberals don't support Obama anymore huh?

R-O-F-L-M-A-O

This is so sad.

All the Republicans had to do was produce a relatively relateable human being... What does America get? Cain and Bachmen (I'd list the others but I might fall asleep at the keyboard)

When a crazy Pseudo-Christian fanatic says these candidates are doing TOO much you know you have a problem.

I cannot wait for this election.

Obama won't even have to dig up dirt on anyone. All he has to do is tell us to google their name.

Seriously?

Romney winning because of jobs? No Fucking way.

This is the man who has made his fortune closing companies and eliminating jobs. He will be shredded when the serious discussion begins on his economic record.

I will say this shit again

As soon as the American people see what these Candidates stand for and what they have done Obama won't even have to get off his couch.

Like I said 8 months ago, congrats on 2012, Obama.

It's amazing what a president can get away with just because he has a D next to his name.

Obusha deserves to get waylaid by a real progressive like Kucinich, but the people of this country don't have the brains for that.

Agreed. He is NOT a democrat. He's a republican in disguise. I've said it all along.. I am not happy with Obama. I was always on team Hillary and I think she would have done a better job than Obama. Obama is the worst negotiator EVER. He just gives the repugs everything they want, because he doesn't have the balls to negotiate and/or is too afraid to make enemies. He wanted to "compromise" and "be friends" with the repugs, and that has cost him deeply. Hillary would NEVER have put up with that BS. I understand that the liberals are angry at Obama, and quite frankly.. I understand them. The economy has NOT gotten better, but worse... there's not many new jobs available for people, and the debt keep growing at a rapid pace. Yep, nice that!

Oh yeah.. and to those guys saying Obama is sooo gay friendly.. he's not. He is STILL against gay marriage and he DID NOT remove DADT. He was actually AGAINST removing DADT. Yet the obamabots keep making this point over and over again, that Obama is sooo gay friendly, because he removed DADT, when he didn't even life a finger, and even said HE WAS AGAINST removing it! WTF?!?! do the obamabots have their heads so far up their own asses? It certainly look like that! Obama can get away with anything, how dare anyone even criticize Obama! Whenever someone criticize him we get called racists, when I NEVER even mentioned that in my post until now.. yet the obamabots keep calling everyone who is not completely happy with obama as racist, because you can't disagree with how he is running the country, and how he's destroying the economy, without being racist... ok then. He is a failed president. Yet the obamabots won't even admit that Obama has flaws! He's perfect in their eyes! Then WHY the hell has the economy NOT gotten any better and why is the debt still growing and why is the unemployment rate still high? Not many new jobs available at all! But the Obamabots STILL say how successful Obama is, yeah.. right. Everyone not brainwashed by his "hope" BS can see that he failed his people.

Romney is flip-flopping too much for me. The only want I see myself voting Republican is if they ran Huntsman. Also, I don't think Obama is failing; the GOP is refusing to work with him.
