Seriously, is Walmart braindead or something? Can't they tell the difference between bath time and child porn?

If the parents were really dealing with child pornography, you'd think they would know better than to have the images printed at Walmart!

It's not just Walmart... the employee made a judgment call and then the police and child services came in and made it a big deal. Seriously, smarter people need to be placed in positions of familial oversight.

What the fuck is wrong with these people?

Between them, could the cops, the employees and Welfare not determine that there was no harm being done just by quickly looking at the 8 photographs in question?

I swear, if I were the parents I would aim to completely clean these people out.

This is kinda insane ..
My grandmother still has "bathtime" pictures from me on the wall.
Thank the god that the judge was sane.

Every parent takes nude photos of their babies and children at one time or another - lying on the bed, on a bearskin run, in the tub, in the pool in the backyard. Naked babies are like cherubs, totally innocent and cute. It's a family ritual.

You can be sure that when they innocently took those photos, they never anticipated the event would wind up on the evening news, let alone, worldwide internet.

I hope the parents file a hefty lawsuit against them.

The thing is, you can't always just assume the pictures are innocent. What's to stop every child pornographer from putting a kid in a bathtub and claiming the pictures are from "bath time"?

I think the employee was right in being suspicious, but the authorities took it too far when it would have been a simple matter to verify that the pictures were nothing shady.

Interesting that the parents were punished for taking innocent photos of their children, yet the children were ripped away from their parents and put into foster homes, interrogated by both the police and the child services, and were also put through a battery of tests to determine if they had been sexually abused.

Now, I ask you? Who are the abusive ones?

I have always thought - even when I was a kid - that naked baby pictures are creepy. I've always thought that they were inappropriate and even creepier when people show me naked pictures of their babies and say "wow.. isn't that cute?"

Like.. am I supposed to comment on how "sweet" a naked baby is?

Um,... ew.

It's frightening the lessons society is teaching the children these days:

- Teachers who touch them are perverts.
- Parents who discipline them are committing child abuse.
- Parents who take their photographs (in a public place no less!!) are paedophiles.

Kind of makes you long for the days of 'Don't talk to strangers'.

this post is absolutely, mindnumbingly insane.

That is terrible what they did to those parents. I hope that couple sues the crap out of all of them. Of 144 family pictures they were having printed, did the Wal-Mart employee seriously think 8 of them were intentionally child porn?

I do agree with Jasun, however, that I find naked baby pictures creepy. I really do. My parents have a couple of me in the bathtub when I was a baby and I even creep out myself lol.

^ I hear ya.

The UK and the US and other countries is absolutely insane.

Whenever I go visit those countries, I always tell my parents that you can't even look at children cuz the people there are paranoid.

For me a child there can drown or choke with food, that I would just ignore it.

Thank good in my own country you can still make funny faces and tell how cute children are to strangers and the same done to our own children.

And btw, I have bathtub photos of me and my sister taken by my parents when we were little and they are cute.

PS: Imbeciles (that cunt at walmart, I bet she was Christian) and the other people.

I'm seriously tempted to make a sing that says: ¨The cunt that works at this Walmart is an imbecile¨take a picture of it, and go there to Arizona, and have the photo developed at that exact Walmart.

IMBECILES

i mentioned this in a similar thread but maybe they need to be trained on how to spot child pornography. like the characteristics in a photo that classify it but then that would probably be crazy on how strict or how lenient they are and what becomes harmless and what becomes dangerous.

And puppies are always naked!

Not always:
