The Christmas Music starts tomorrow!

(On a much happier note, the Third Annual JUB "Holiday Card" exchange thread will go up in a week or so! Watch This Space!)
:xmas: :xmas: :xmas: :xmas: :xmas: :xmas: :xmas: :xmas:

I beefed up the holiday music folder and added it to the iPod two weeks ago. Haven't listened to it yet, but it's ready when I'm ready. :)

I'll take that road before us
and sing another chorus
or two

>>>What's some of the stuff that you added?

I noticed that my holiday music was a bit heavy on the "modern" side. Not that I dislike current artists doing holiday music (even their "updated versions"), but I didn't have that much "traditional" stuff. So I went to the used record store and bought a ton of old holiday records for a quarter each.

Singers like Perry Como, Julie Andrews and Andy Williams.
Easy-listening ensembles like Ray Conniff and Henry Mancini.
Even some classical albums like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and "A Renaissance Christmas".

Heavily cheesy, but since a lot of Christmas is about the familiar and comfortable, I'm really enjoying it. I've even had a few people ask me for copies.

I have been listening to Christmas music for a couple of weeks now.

Right now 98 degrees - This Gift :D

If waiting for it in the stores is a problem, look what I found:

(can't get this to post right, but it is christmas music 247 dot com)

HA HA HA HA

Happy Halloween!

Yeah, I went to the grocery store a little bit ago, and they already have Christmas candy out. :dead:

We've had it out for three or four weeks now.

In other news, apparently someone forgot to flip the switch to Christmas music today, and we had the usual 'Lite Top 40' mix to pleasure us slaves. :gogirl:

98 Degrees AND N'Sync? So soon in the thread, too? You're making my recent pick-ups seem downright impressive. :)

I don't do Christmas music until after Remembrance Day at the earliest. Normally it's about the 3rd week in November - as that coincides with the Christmas Lights switch on in the city centre.

By the way Yoopers, I'll say an early thank-you for doing the Christmas card list again this year. It's really appreaciated that you take the time and effort to arrange this again! (*8*)

I love my "Christmas with Nana Mouskouri" album so much I sometimes play it in summer.

I love Thanksgiving and I love Christmas. I put up the tree the weekend after Thanksgiving; take it down in January.

Christmas?

Isn't that the holiday where the sexy daddy polar bear flies through the air in his big red Pride chariot, dropping boy-toys down the chimneys of good little queers while dropping turds down the chimneys of the breeders? :D

And where people sing "Don we now our gay apparel"? :gogirl: (and, as if that's not enough, they follow it up with "Fa-la-la la-la-la la-la la la"!)

And where horny guys put mistletoe on their belt buckles and then go to office parties, hoping to find out whether the cute young stud in Accounting really is a three-beer queer? :bj: (not that *I* would ever do anything like that... :^o)

And where people dangle shiny balls off of trees strung with twinkly lights? (one wonders what they used to polish their balls)

And party, party, party, then max out their credit cards in an orgy of spending beyond their means? :help:

Now ... is there possibly a gayer time of the year than Christmas? (!) And here the straights thought it was all about something religious...

Christmas is such an ugly word... I prefer The Consumerist End of Civil Year Secular Festival...

I decorated my first Christmas tree at work today.

Christmas is coming two months early for me.
