had just sat down to lunch {cream of celery soup & tuna wrap in spinch wrap} & went to get up off chair & spilled the full bowl of soup all down my leg & it burned my ankle the worst some blistering & scaring..
i feel a lil better today!:grrr:

Hope you feel better soon, take some vitamin E, it will help your skin heal sooner.

One remedy I've used in the past for burns is to soak a wash cloth in vinegar and apply it to the burned area. It will kill most of the pain. When the pain comes back, change the compress to a fresh one. It also works great for sunburns. If you put the vinegar in the fridge to get it cold, it feels even better.

Did you need treatment for it, or were you at home and treated it yourself. Take good care of the wounds.

I go straight for the ice when that happens. Ice cubes or a bag of frozen peas.

Even though I know full well that when I take off the ice it will hurt worse than before. So if I can bear the pain, I just live with it.

If there's blistering, it's probably a good idea to keep it clean and rub in Neosporin a couple of times a day to help it heal faster.

Chilly...dang it... I can't believe how often you injur yourself.

Yea after you burn yourself you have to cool it down, run cold water or put ice on it. It will stop any internal burns underneath the skin.

But I just can't help but laugh that you were gonna put that in your mouth being that hot that it burned your ankle to cause blistering.

Look after yourself chilli, these things are so easily done

What did I tell you about getting up and having random quickies with the waiter at lunchtime! You see what happened!!

Do you have access to some fresh aloe ?

Aloe plants are the very, very best thing for burns. Just cut open a leaf and slather the goo all over the area.

Call local garden stores and see if they have any. It'll be worth the effort and every penny.

Helps reduce scaring as well.

comfrey root. fresh is best, but dried will work excellently, especially if you can find it in the powder form. check your health food store if neither you nor a friend is growing any. boil the grated root (or root powder) with water until it forms a mucilaginous goo, cool it down, and apply it to the wound. comfrey forms a natural protective layer that is just like a scab, which is good, particularly if we're talking about a sizable surface area. It's also a proven cell proliferant - it makes cells grow. I know this from personal experience, and from expert advice from an ER burn specialist. I stepped in a pot of water that had just came off a campfire (it was dark, I was among strangers at an unfamiliar campsite, and had wandered away from the fire to find a place to pee) in heavy boots with umpteen gazillion shoelace eyes. by the time I realized the water was THAT hot, and got my boot off, I began going into shock - the burn was THAT severe. The whole top of my foot sloughed off. I was off my feet and out of work for 6 weeks, but I learned a lot about caring for burns.
