A few days ago, I asked some advice on making an offer on a property. As usual you guys came thru with some awesome suggestions and and sound advice.

We went and had coffee with the owners, and after much discussion we agreed that they would list the home with a realator of their choice, and we would immediately make an offer that they would accept. We ran this past our attorney and he felt it was the best way to go, to make sure the proper inspections were done and that the title company could complete the proper paper work...

We went with an offer $5500.00 less than their asking price and agreed to pay 50% of the realators fee. After doing some research we found that Realators really do earn their money...its much more than showing a place.

Again guys, thanks sooo much for your suggestions...

Thanks for the update. It sounds like a good deal. Remember, all closing stuff usually takes more time than you expect. Try to keep your cool. Let us know, how it goes.

That's great news. Congratulations! Now, all your friends with trucks and vans will run everytime they see you coming. LOL

When's moving day?

Here's to lots of health and happiness in your new home!

Just remember though, the free help stops at advice...... ;)
Anything else is going to cost you.

It's scary, stressful, and exciting all at the same time!

Most importantly, a mutual investment in each other's future! (*8*)

So with that:

Pictures...pictures...pictures...send us some of the new place!!!
Oh...Congratulations!!!

IN all honesty, realtors are the biggest scam that most people don't even think about. If you're going through a mortgage company to get your loan, they have the required papers for purchase agreements and the such. That realstate person was specially a waste in your case since you already had found the house and the owner had already agreed.

Anyways, congrats on the buy!!!!

Congratulations On Your New Home!

That is so exciting. I remember buying my home, watching it being built, choosing the flooring, etc.....so much fun. :)

May you both enjoy your new home!

(I still think that realtors are over paid.
$60k commissions to sell a moderate home in California is ridiculous.#-o )

as any realtor worth their salt would say.....WHERE'S MY REFERRAL?

no really thats great news. but keep your cool, think with your head not your emotions, you are prolly spending a ton of dough. be sure to keep good communications with your realtor.

good luck!
