Weather - why is hotter always better?

Hotter temperature kills my internet router faster and I have to refresh it every now and then..so it's not better [-X

Hotter is not better; 17C-23C is ideal.

I agree with this. I feel the most comfortable when it's like 22-23 degrees C.. perfectly fine summer temps. But today it's 31, and it's way too hot. It's extremely uncomfortable. I feel like I'm gonna pass out. I try staying hydrated and not going out when it's too hot though, so that helps.

The advantage with cold weather is that I can wear nicer clothes; in fact I am much better dressed in winter.

With the arrival of summer I have the choice between either a shirt or a polo. Yet I am really pleased when the heat arrives. I manage to keep comfortable by keeping out of the sun, opening windows when it is cool and shutting them as the temperature rises.

Here I am living in the South of France where it should be hot and all we have are temperatures of around 25° and I still have my duvet on the bed. I am beginning to wonder if it will be hot at all this year.

After this last winter, so cold and snowy, I vowed not to complain about the summer heat. So far I have kept that. While our home is centrally cooled, I really prefer to have windows open, especially at night. I love waking up to cool breezes blowing over me and pulling a blanket up to cover us. Not to mention being able to enjoy the sounds of the birds and other nighttime creatures that you only hear when the house is not closed up. So far, we have had a beautiful summer with lots of rain, so everything is green and lush. We are now picking raspberries, too.:D

I love the heat the hotter the better i don't mind 90 degree weather this summer sucks we only had a few 90 degrees days. But it has mostnly been in the 80s and sometimes it drops into the 60s i had the heater on a few times in the car.

Not really....but Anchorage would be a good bet to escape the heat. Almost no chance of heat there.

Also i don't know why sunny is always considered "good".
I think abit of rain can be nice as well.

I agree. I like all kinds of weather. Nothing better than a cloudy, rainy day periodically.

Actually, if only the 90+ degree F days are what one is trying to escape and you're OK with 80s, one of the best places to go in the summer to escape the 90+ stuff is...HAWAII!! I know, that sounds ridiculous, but most of the islands usually don't go into the Nineties in the summer...

However, it is ALSO guaranteed that the weather will not be "cool." Just avoid the area on the Big Island near the volcano, because a fair amount of that area is actually a DESERT-like microclimate...possibly even affected by the general lack of vegetation itself?

I don't know quite enough about climate to know if lacking vegetation will tend to make a place hotter and/or drier. Is there anything in the deforested areas of the Amazon which indicate one way or another? I do know that around here, once the corn reaches the first stages of full development around this time of summer, the humidity increases quite a bit, and it's been partly attributed to transpiration of water vapor from the corn itself.

Good news, everyone!

Remember the polar vortex? You know, that blast of Artic air that turned the United States into a freezer last winter? Well, it's back baby! Forecasters are actually predicting sudden drops in tempatures to comfortable levels because of the polar vortex!!!

Yeah, suck it Europe. Especially you Belgium. You think you can just beat the awesome USA at the World Cup with no consequences? Enjoy your heatwave, waffle-eaters.

I prefer spring and autumn (fall) to summer and winter, for the simple reason that I do not like being overly hot or overly cold.

^Juneau certainly hasn't either....damn that's a small town!

Not sure if Sitka has, either - but I also believe it's one of the Alaskan towns which has never dropped below 0 degrees F. Perhaps Ketchikan as well (where, the only time I ever visited, the sky was completely CLEAR, which is rare there).
