  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Weddings you would rather die than go to.

Since almost every thing is made in China now, I expect the recorded voice to sound like "I love you long time GI".

As a bonus, a recorded voice screams "I'm gonna cum!" right before the toast pops up.
The toast only pops up? Shouldn't it shoot uncontrollably out of the toaster?

It was as horrifying as I thought.

The buffet was embarrassing...the beef was tough and dry.

And then the speeches. By too many drunk men. Sloppy. Not funny or necessary.

Our night was only tolerable because we were seated with my 98 year old aunt...and this is the last wedding we expect in the family for many years now yet.

I have never experienced that. My family is so little. Most of my family has passed away. So when there is a family gathering, I try to make it happen. I went to a family wedding in Hawaii in March. It was the first same-sex wedding in my family. My cousin got married. It was a beautiful wedding, and I'm glad I decided to go. The time before that in Hawaii, I went over there for my uncle's 80th birthday. That was around 6 years prior. In 2022, I went to Boston for my nieces wedding. Another beautiful wedding and the first time I have ever visited the East Coast. My family is either in Hawaii, California, Oregon, or Massachusetts.
I'm sorry that you did not enjoy yourself.

My family so rarely gets together. The nieces Boston wedding was on the outskirts of the city. I don't remember the name, but it had a beautiful ballroom and a view of the lake. A robot that he helped design carried the wedding ring to him during the ceremony.

My cousin's wedding in Honolulu was at Halekulani Hotel, with the ceremony in the garden and reception in the ballroom. The food was yummy. It was a roasted vegetable quinoa risotto. At least for me. Most people had the seafood/meat options. And my cousin did a little hula dancing during the reception.

Both were beautiful, and I enjoyed spending time with them at each of them. I did have a half brother that did not attend my cousin's wedding because he is an evangelical Christian and does not approve of same sex weddings. His loss! A celebration of love, and commitment, is a healthy thing.
