I checked the site out today but it doesn't seem like it's been updated in a while. Is that site pretty much done? God I wish Diesel from that site would do more porn.

Dink Flamingo (of Active Duty) became co-owner of the site and tried to inject some life into it but it still failed.

No big loss for me. I found the guys to be very hit and miss and the videos way too amateurish to the point of unwatchable.

We're trying a new content producer...Dink and I think you will really like his videos, he's all about the hot guys and loves giving them a helping hand, which is always fun.

The site will be regularly updated so don't worry. Everything should be fine now but I will tell you this for sure: if anything did happen to ASG, the vids with the AD guys (including the latest one with Bently getting plowed by Brian and Ethan) will definitely get saved!!

Speaking of, does anyone here care about MyStraightBuddy? My contract to provide content for that site expires in June...I'm curious whether it's worth it to try to keep it going or not. I won't be offended if you say it's not, I'm just curious.

Maybe you can pass it along to Dink to post something proactively about ASG and xxxamateurhour. I'm always curious when businesses keep customers in the dark about things like this.

Anyway, I have been a fan of MyStraightBuddy for a long time. I actually think that the contenet was better before it got hooked into Active Duty. It seems like the content now is kind of forced rather than just buddies hangin out. Does that make sense? Also, the updates seem less frequent.

I'm a big fan of Active Duty, but it seems kind of stuck neutral and the partnerships just don't seem to work out. In the meantime the AD site seems to lose focus. AD's website and how they deliver content needs an overhaul, a lot of the archieves are still missing, the military aspect has declined. The most recent update was like "old times", but these are few and far between these days. I have been an AD customer for years and years, but something is definately off.

Regarding MyStraightBuddy, I have followed that site for a long time too. I like it's amateur quality and the "buddy" aspect, but I have always wanted more frequent updates and more action between the guys.

I actually haven't been able to access either site for months now. I get redirected to a bing search, then click on the link to the site and eventually get a "page cannot be displayed" note. I've clicked diagnose problem and gotten the following:

network diagnostics pinged the host but did not recieve a response

Now, mind you, I'm not a member of either site so it isn't particularly a customer service issue. I'm just curious if this is something that is not unique to me.

I'll pass that along, or in fact I'll just ask Dink if he's read this post...he doesn't post much but he does visit JUB. As regards MSB, it's part of my contract (2 updates a month and son on), which is why I ask since the end of that is coming up soon. Everything you just said, I would like to do and likely will do after it's up...wanted to know whether it was worth it to do just that. Stay tuned, at least until June.

I agree that ASG went spiraling downwards when Dink Flamingo came onboard. In fact the promo with Doug playing Bin Laden was the only highlight from ASG since then. After that, ASG terribly fizzled out with its overused and overly branded rehashed Dink talent.

As a blogger on another site pointed out, I agree that Dink should refocus on his Active Duty brand. It may be further suggested that ASG and Dink should separate its branding. But in the porn industry it would be wise and good business sense to allow performers to make cameo appearances on competing sites. It is for the performers sake to get the best maximum exposure if they truly want to be in this business.

With that said. What ASG needs today is to return to its original ASG roots. Bring back those amateur guys in amateur unscripted settings. When I view sites such as Military Classified or Straight Fraternity I can honestly say that this is what I had as a vision of ASG in its early days. The similarities show. However, Straight Fraternity has recently spiraled downward to crash and burn status. This leaves clearly an open door for ASG to take the top spot once again.

A few have mentioned in threads that having Doug in the videos distracted from the overall quality. I have mixed feelings about this because Doug does push the performers typically in unchartered and new territories. Perhaps some with Doug and some without may be a compromise for future ASG viewers. Honestly, many sites have varied directors involved in off camera sexual banter, which typically drives up ratings and demand. On the other hand emulating Dirk Yates solo scenes are truly classic.

We will see how ASG rebrands and relaunches itself in the upcoming months. Also this provides an excellent opportunity for Dink Flamingo to refocus on Active Duty and bring his site to a higher standard. Collectively we can agree as amateur fans that these two sites should be the standard of amateur porn. Time will tell.
