Apparently, it's a nice place to sit and get drunk. At least my roommate thinks it is. I've told him time and time again to keep his bloody booze out of there, but his memory lasts as long as a snowflake in your hand.

I truly wish I could find a decent, affordable apartment somewhere. I'd be out of here in a heartbeat.

Thanks, mega, but I've seen too many horror stories on Judge Judy involving Graig's List. Besides, if it doesn't involve smaller Canadian cities and towns, it does me no good whatsoever.

It's not so much fun when the roommate is getting pissed in the can (euphemism for 'bathroom') while I'm pissing IN a can or going outside because he's been sitting in there for two hours.

He's one of those alcoholics who believes that no-one knows he's drinking.

Is there something contractual between you? i.e. can you legally leave his stuff in refuse bags outside the apartment door next time he goes to the store for some drink?

It's a one-bedroom apartment. He sleeps on the sofa. The only reason I can afford to live here is that he pays the heat and hydro. I couldn't afford it on my own, and no other roommate would sleep on the sofa.
