I've been lurking here for a long time now (a really long time, actually), but I thought I'd finally start posting here from time to time.

I have only recently come to terms with me being gay but have come out to my close friends and brother by now. Still trying to find a suitable moment to tell my parents, although I probably have to create such a moment myself sometime. It still awkward sometimes to being open about my sexuality because I'm a bit of a shy guy by nature. But it's getting better and better.

So, there you have it. A short hi from me. :biggrin:

congrats on coming out. even to a few people it's a big step and you should be proud of yourself for managing it. some of us waited a long time to do it ;)

Actually, it has already helped me a great deal in coming out. My parent shouldn't be any problem, but I need to get straight 'n level with them on some other (somewhat related) issues as well. And that kind of spooks me. But I'll get there. :)
 
I know what you mean about being shy about sex. I am totally out, with the exception of my parents... the subject of sex and my family do not mix!!! Anyway, welcome to JUB! :wave:
