Tonight, no, I didn't (Wednesday night was a blast) but I'm hoping to get to the Davie Street Pride Party next Friday at which Jinkx Monsoon is performing.

By pianist! Success with your music! Back in here anytime you will

Went out into Boystown in Chicago last night. I visited the first gay bar I ever went to (and had my coming out 8 years ago)...Spin. There was a shower contest and Terese Royale was performing so it was fun and packed. Hubby gets here tonight and we shall have a night of debauchery for Market Days....

I think my friend CJ works there...

Hmmm...

I could stay in, and save money.

Or, I could go out, have some drinks, and be with some friends.

Stupid choices. ](*,)

What is everyone else doing tonight???

as you can tell, I'm kinda bored and don't want to get pulled into the whole Sharpton thread because it's too tempting...

I hate partying.

Yeah for another shit date. I wish I could just leave after 15mins when I am clearly bored and there is silence between the two of us.

A very nice Friday night, indeed. I'm visiting a very good friend (who started as a customer, originally - OR I contacted him because of his cool music - I forgot which came first now, many years ago) near Boston. He had some kind of meeting in Medford, so I had some down time. Initially he drove me into Boston with him, and we had drinks at a coffee shop on Boylston near Mass. Ave. near downtown. He introduced me to chai on Thursday afternoon in Providence, and I had it again on Boylston - a wonderful drink! - he likes chai A LOT and he rated theirs as A+ so I had the best, and it's one of the best drinks of anything I've ever had. (It sure helps that I like cinnamon...a lot...also.) From there he drove to Medford, and he told me how to get where I was going, on Commonwealth Ave. just west of BU (Boston University). Yes, I walked there - about two miles, I guess - really enjoyed the beautiful walk. On the way, I had some great Indian food in Kenmore Square - a delicious dish with goat, in a sauce with bell peppers, tomatoes, onions all on basmati rice. I went with the "hot" version. Did I say I really like Indian food? Yes.

I know somebody who runs a shop there past BU, and we both know somebody I've been in touch with since about 1967, who I called - fortunately happened to catch at home - and he came to the shop to hang with us. Eventually it became actually somewhat past closing time for the shop, and the three of us went and hung out for a couple hours at Panera Bread. It was time for me to get on the train, then, because my friend was done in Medford, and he picked me up at the North Station stop.

A very pleasant and laid-back Friday night, in a city that I am quite fond of. Can't beat that.

Hello Frank Frank. (*8*)

You're the only Jubber I've met in real life. Good to see you're still traveling and having fun. :)

^ And I still have your information in my travel folder, though this time I was only in Toledo from 10PM Sunday night, to 7AM (!!!) Monday morning, last week. This time after I bought a whole butterscotch pie from Schmucker's, the last of the pie got eaten by myself and a friend in NEW HAMPSHIRE!! I scooted through town too quickly to look you up, obviously.

I'll travel on ANY flimsy little excuse, haha.
