Well, it's Friday night. Are YOU going out???

I went out with several friends and we got kicked out from 2 clubs because of our obnoxious friend who gets out of control when he drinks too much. He turns into an attention seeking ass. At this point, I don't want to hang out with this guy in public anymore because we end up having to babysit him. He started walking across traffic while tons of cars were speeding and that really pissed me off! I can't stand guys who turn obnoxious and stupid when they drink.

The weather is beautiful here tonight. High 60's.

Museum opening. Dinner. Street Party. Party.
 
I may walk over to the Eagle but the hubby is swamped and tired tonight. Tomorrow night we'll go out to CNTRL at Cobalt so gotta save up my energy. Sunday we have a bunch of friends coming for dinner as well....
 
No, catching up on some email for now, for the remainder of the night. Originally I thought that a theater here was showing the film "On The Road" (adapting the Kerouac novel) tonight, but that's a week from now and I'll already be gone.

I also want to rest well, to make sure I "kick" what was diagnosed today as bronchitis. It never got bad enough to impact my (large amount of) walking or other things, and they say it should be gone quickly. It's possible that I've had it before as I get this dry cough around once every 1 to 2 years, but in the past there was no diagnosis and I got an antibiotic Rx, which always caused it to go away quickly.

Last thing I did before the hotel was eating at a buffet at a vegetarian/vegan Indian restaurant. Yummmmm!!
 
staying in to rest up for visit from out of town friends this weekend.
 
was supposed to be going out tonight but the bf got side tracked. Definitely going out tomorrow to celebrate my birthday with the bf and best friend. Supposed to go bowling and then to the club
 
Got my weekend work done, did a bit of work on my next art project, hot bath, Chunky Soup, frozen peach bar, book, jazz, JUB. Life is good.

Returned home late/early morning from Flaming Saddles bar. If anyone has been there knows that place is the most conservative gay bar in NYC. And by conservative I mean guys act very serious, don't cruise at all, just socialize with their friends. 95% of guys there look like they're from the South and they always play Country music. Funny thing is that guys stand around with their Grindr buzzing but won't flirt with anyone around them.

Almost back to human after going out last night. The hubby was lead hair stylist at an event at the Ritz-Carlton in Georgetown that included a bunch of "Miss" people; Miss Universe, Miss DC, Miss Virginia...lol! The owners of Opera and the Huxley night clubs were there and invited us to make stops at each establishment with VIP treatment which was also amazing. Saw a lot of the stars who are in town for the Correspondent's Dinner tonight (and the hubby is doing hair for some of them as I write this). We worked our way to the DC-9 and finished the evening at the DC Eagle -- what a span of crowds! lol! My trainer at the gym today remarked he had my heart rate up and I was perspiring profusely; I think it was alcohol leaking from my pores! lol! I'm not sure I want to go to Towne tonight for the continued reunion of "Traxx" nightclub that closed years ago in SE DC. And I have a 6 a.m. flight to Tampa to catch....
