This gives me hope that we can one day get West Point to stop teaching that Custer was a glorious war hero (who didn't graduate 3rd from bottom of his class.)
 
This is wonderful. Just a couple of years ago they would have had to meet in secret and the Cadet could have been pitched out on his ear if anyone had found out.

xbuzzerx, from a friend who went to West Point, Custer was the "goat" of his class...that is to say, he graduated dead last. Now, you're not exactly a bum if you make it through West Point, even last in your class! About half of them wash out in four years. Better the goat at WP than top of your community college class.

I know that ‘vindictive’ isn’t pretty but, looking at those tears-of-joy inducing photos, I can’t help chuckling at the thought of parents who have, over the years, sent their gay kids off to military schools to ‘get him straightened out’.
 
they don't even realize by doing something as simple as embracing how much they love each other (in an appropriate manner like this) and being so happy (look at their genuine smiles) that they are literally helping change hearts and minds. It's things like that that helps people realize "why NOT gay marriage?"
