A Romney White House might have some bipartisanship

Dems and Repubs visiting and talking about how to solve problems

not like now

read Price of Politics by Bob Woodward

Pres. Obama doesn't reach out to anyone - not even dems - especially not repubs

see he doesn't really like the job

so the Romney WH would be a more joyful collaborative place

But rooted in the policies that led to the worst growth in US History barring hat of Herbert Hoover who BTW was another business man who failed at governing just as Romney did in Mass.

i don't think they'll be rooted at all

just as Obama is nothing like Clinton

Romney did swell in Mass - just getting elected as a Repub in liberal-land is an amazing accomplishment

imagine Obama winning governorship of say ................ Utah

Obama's platform also looked nothing like Clinton's. Go back and look at Bush's platform in 2000... identical to Romney and led to the worst growth in modern history. You guys on the right refuse to acknowledge that republicans are the party of obstruction on so many thing they stood with previously such as immigration reform, tax reform, debt ceiling votes, using the military to nation build while their guy is in office, Healthcare bill written by them, jobs bills to build the infrastructure, stimulus spending to save the economy, bailout of Detroit... I could go on.

However the republican party is on record multiple times saying they will not work with or they refuse x,y,z and they made it their solemn pledge to not allow legislation to pass... they then proved worthy at that task by becoming the lowest performing congress in history. Their antics have led to multiple long standing moderate republicans to leave office citing things do not work and they wont stand with obstruction.

No the lie is not the truth just because woodward wrote it and had some credibility once.

Imagine a country where one party could request changes in welfare from the President to then turn and say the President is changing welfare.

Imagine a place where a oil pipeline could be built but Republicans object to the safety or lack there of for the environment. Then turning and trying to lay that on the President.

What is sad is the low information American buys that shit up like it was 32oz sodas and a triple cheeseburger.

He pushed them to 47th in job creation and saddled them with more debt than when he arrived.... sounds like just what we need policies that decreases employment and create debt.

Damn beat me to it. The only good thing to come out of Romney's governing is gay marriage.

funny

i read that UE in Massachusetts while he was governor was 4.7%

frankly I'll take it

So he's average ? Or he sucks ?

As for experience Obama had none and it shows

In which room would he keep his binders full of women? The library maybe? Or more likely in the kitchen. . .

WTF??????

The first two years of Obama was ENTIRELY "make nice with Republicans" even long after it was made blatantly clear that the only purposes of the Republicans were to unconditionally represent the Grover Nordquist Constituency-of-One-individual (with the rest of the people in their constituency being corporations), and to make sure that Obama fails.

If Romney wins, and the Democrats lose the Senate majority, prepare for all hell to be unleashed. The first thing the Senate will do, on the first day of the new session when this is allowed to be done, will be to entirely eliminate the filibuster, With all of Congress and the POTUS Republican-controlled, they will ram the most vile and dangerous legislation through. Just wait. Women who practice any kind of birth control will be subject to prison. People who happen to be gay will be subject to prison, in the Tea Party world. We hear nothing about the Tea Party, but they still have the entire Republican Party beholden to them.

Not only will Obamacare be swiftly repealed, but the federal law requiring Emergency Room triage for those in trouble both financially and healthwise, will SURELY be repealed. People will be dying in the streets, just like in Calcutta.

Social Security (which many have paid into for as long as 30 and 40 years) will be STOLEN by Wall Street, as it's privatized and it "goes in" when the Dow is at its absolute peak in anticipation and then it crashes and the world's first TRILLIONAIRES are created.

This is apocalyptic.

As Moody's points out no matter who is in office we stand to make 12 million jobs over the next four years putting us at roughly 6% UE....

LOL Cute.

This is the exact problem with time horizons that the hoi polloi don't get. Three things: 1. That assumes ceteris parabus meaning no policy changes ATM. 2. That "12 million jobs" is aggregate and not net. 3. That UE is not adjusted for "inflation" (in that case, population growth). I've seen Moody's Classical approach to economics first hand and it's hilarious. They just don't like multivariate calculus.

But calculus is FUN!
