So, yesterday my fridge broke, my dishwasher broke, and my tooth broke, with no prospects of getting any of them repaired in the near future.
What the fuck else can go wrong (besides a deadly global pandemic) ?

Order a new fridge and dishwasher online. Pay a bit extra to have them delivered and the old ones taken away. Go to the pharmacy and buy a pack of temporary dental filling and use it to patch up your tooth until you can get to your dentist. Sorted.
I also think a fridge repair would be a necessity and a serviceman would likely be working.
Is it economic to repair things like fridges these days? White goods are relatively inexpensive and I'd rather spend my money on a new one.
Depends on what's wrong with it I guess. I'm amazed at how many things can be fixed yourself now using google or youtube. Last year I saved $180 on a furnace repair by googling and ordering a $3 part off amazon.
True (and well done). However a new boiler/furnace might cost £3,000 which makes the old one worth fixing. A new fridge costs maybe £200 to £300 though. I'd just get a new one every time.
Wait! What? Dental filling at the pharmacy? Never heard of that.

I'm not sure where you are getting your price from, but a new refrigerator at Home Depot or Best Buy costs anywhere from $500 US to well over $2000 US depending on what you want. I'm not sure what a house call for a repairman costs but I am guessing about $100 for the house call plus whatever repairs cost.
