What Age Did Acne Stop For You?

Once my aunt told me to use a wash cloth every time I washed my face
give it two weeks and you'll be amazed

Stopped at about 15. Never was too bad tough.

It slowed down about 16 when I started getting facial hair and more or less stopped at 18. Unfortunately some scars are still there :( But the skin is healing :)

I'm 21 now, had it all over my body for about 7 or 8 years now. My doctor just put me on some meds that seem to be helping a little bit, but he said that it would take a few weeks before I realy begin to see any change. Until I got put on this medication it just seemed to be getting worse, meaning that it was spreading further down my body. It's been on my back for years, but recently has been going down my arms and legs. Surprisingly though, in recent years I haven’t had much of a problem with it being on my face or chest, my back.

I had it pretty bad as a teenager. By the time I was around 18 or 19, it was starting to get better. Now I'm nearly 27 and have minimal problems with it on my face (just the occasional blemish like people with good skin) but it's still sticking around a bit on my chest.

I had pretty bad facial acne as a teenager; most of it cleared up by my early 20's, and I've been left with some facial scarring. I was advised by a dermatologist once (who I just met at the swimming pool - it wasn't a formal consultation) to give up dairy products for a while, and see if that made any difference. So I took my tea black and had fruit juice on my cereal for a few months.

I still (in my 40's now) get the occasional pimple.

Im 18 and still get acne , but i mainly breakout near my hair line and coz i have an afro they are covered by curls

Luckily, I never had acne growning up. I would get a small pimple maybe once or twice a year. I dated a guy who had a second bout of acne in his twenties. It got so bad he wouldn't leave the house.

I had horrible acne from 6th - 10th grade. I started Accutane, and, after a layer of skin peeled off, my acne cleared up. I wash my face twice a day.
And now I just get a few pimples here and there, but no outbreaks.

Never had acne but still get the occassional pimple. Hate em - damn, I have a few on me right now. Aren't they meant to stop appearing once you're done with puberty?!

My subdermal rosacea-type acne cleared up at nineteen, same as both my parents. But in my case it was helped along by a two-week flu in which I didn't eat much of anything and got an awful lot of sleep.

Though a tendency toward acne is largely genetic, it can be helped a lot by dietary and lifestyle changes. I mean, it's mostly your body being unable to process certain toxins in your system. Giving up milk and soda-pop and all processed foods, as well as drinking lots and lots and lots of water, will do wonders. Stress is a major contributor to acne, too, so destressing your life will help as well.

I still get the occasional pimple, mostly from stress. Nevertheless, I am going to try that egg-yolk facial next chance I get. My face could use a little tightening these days.

I had HORRIBLE acne all thorugh my teens and into my 20s.

I was on acutane, I was on Tetracycline, Eurythromyacin, Benzoil Peroxide, Vitamin A acid...

then when I was 26, I once ran out of fabric softener and was too broke to buy it.

My acne cleared up. Like in a couple days.

It turned out the whole time that I was alergic to Fabric Softener.

I still have oily skin and get the occasional zit... but that's a good thing.

I'm 37 and don't have a single wrinkle and still look like I'm in my mid 20s.
