What animals does your cat eat

my pussy eats bratworst

Dead squirrels often end up half chewed on my porch, until I sweep them into the flower bed, and they disappear. Sometimes, they drag live, tortured squirrels into my living room.

Then there was the mutilated "wabbit" one brought inside to show off.

Never seen them EAT chipmunks, but they like to harrass them. (see my photo gallery) Often I'm able to capture the tiny critters and toss them into unreachable safery

actually ruffboi,
cats are feral creatures and their survival instinct is what causes them to hunt.

as to your broad sweeping claim that they are the main cause of the EXTINCTION of many species in many countries, pure drivel.

if anything, they play a pivotal role in maintaining some semblence of balance in the planets population of small, less desirable (to mankinds point of view)creatures. they provide companionship for many a lonely person as well as helping to maintain relatively vermin free spaces for humans.

fact is (and this is documentable) mankind is the resposible party for the extinction of many species as well as global warming, environmental hazards, exhaustion of natural resources, et cetera.

obviosly, this is purely my opinion based on my interpretation of the 'facts'. i have no desire to get into a micturating contest but do ask you to reconsider your somewhat virulent diatribe of cats. BTW, i don't care for cats on a personal basis.

My cat goes outside but not usually to hunt. He has on occasion found rats living in a palm tree, played with one, and we were able to move those potentiallydangerous creatures along. He brought back two birds in his mouth. The first one he killed, the second he held in his mouth. After a lot of negotiating with the cat, he let the bird go unharmed. He's very gregarious, friendly, and proctective of the other cats in the building. He's not afraid of most dogs. He only goes in self protective mode if an unknown animal or human comes by. He's a great addition to the family. He's always finding new places to sleep. Closets and cupbosrds seem to be his favorite places currently. He just opens the closet and craws in.

The key to a good pet is lots of love, petting, and respect. Animals are very loyal and protective of their caregivers.

my cat never really ate things as opposed to leaving them in my bed. There would be bluebirds, mice, rats, cockroaches, pigeons, lizards, snakes and once a bat she left in my bed on my pillow. But she would let the squirrels eat out of her bowl and leave them alone.

My present cat doesn't catch a thing - back in the summer she sat with the other two cats from next door in their garden and watched a huge rat scuttle past - didn't even flinch.

We used to have a large black cat that was forever bringing home 'trophies' - dead rats/mice/birds etc then would scream and scream until someone came to inspect his kill.

Like MattieMitch, I've got an indoor cat and--yes--spiders, beware! :D

Birds, bugs, worms, anything they can catch

I have 2 cats Mia and Ellie - they will catch whatever moves and have brought me an array of living creatures into the house including slow-worms.

It freaks me out when they bring in mice - yeah I know I'm a big sissy but those little blighters scare the shit out of me.

The most unusual "gift" to date looked like a dry lump of turd - I went to pick it up with some kitchen roll, when to my surprise the turd took flight - it was a BAT. My partner at the time screamed and dropped to the floor, whilst I chased after the damned thing (kitchen roll in hand). I eventually caught it in the bathroom and set it free.

They mainly stick to eating mice and voles and the occassional bird.
