  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What are some of the features in your car do you never use?

The only thing I have yet to use is the escape switch in the trunk.

^ Ha ! Well, let's hope it stays that way !

Someone above mentioned the air-conditioned glove compartments as I had earlier....

Honestly, this has to be the dumbest feature car manufacturers have come up with in a long time. (And that's saying something ! )

Of what use is it ? It doesn't get cold enough to store food or drinks, all it does is keep your car's registration at a comfortable temperature. Something I'm sure it appreciates.

position light button located on the top of the steering column..it keeps your lights on when your car is shut off.

im guessing the engineers wanted to prevent battery drain for when people forgot to turn off their lights when they shut off their car, so the button overrides that feature by leaving your lights on when you turn your car off.

on my old car, which was 4 years newer, you would have to manually operate the headlights. on my subaru, your lights just shut off when you take the key out.

not sure why you would want to use the button unless it could be dedicated for another use.
