Attention What are you doing at the moment? 2022-2023

I quite enjoyed her Hamish Macbeth stories and her Agatha Raisin books. It's too bad that they came out with that travesty of a television series. (I had a bit of a crush on the TV Hamish.)
Hamish was the better written series certainly.

I started a fire and I'm warming up and sipping coffee at the moment. I should be sipping tea but I just do not enjoy tea as much as coffee.

I made large peanut butter cookies for my neighbors kids and dipped one side in melted chocolate.

They were a hit.

Just doing the last little bits before tonight's dinner party...honestly though, I feel so washed out and uncomfortable from a bout of diverticulosis that I would be happy just curling up on the couch and watching trash.

Taking it easy. Spent last night in the ER after complications following an out-patient procedure. Wasn't directly caused by the procedure, but still had to go in.

Watching a marathon of The Hunger Games on a free channel. OK, I might be a fan hoping for a glimse of a little Peeta. Kravitz and Neeson are also dishy treats.

On a barely serious note, I enjoy the acting of the entire cast, but mostly Donald Sutherland. I've always loved his roles, and even though this one is not very complex or demanding, I enjoy seeing him still treading the boards after such a long and illustrious career.

hahaha

Small dinner party for some neighbours and our beekeepers...prime rib, mixed veg, roast potatoes and mince tarts with hard sauce for dessert.

And not enough wine consumed to lead to lampshade headwear :ROFLMAO:

Quiet morning...making pastry for the Turkey pie.

Trying to plan some Zoom calls with family for later this afternoon.

Just rode our stationary bike for 10 minutes. I usually walk for about 25-30 minutes, but there are little snow pellets falling and a dusting of snow on the ground and it is 35 F outside. In bad weather I usually walk at the mall or the city recreation center, but they are both closed today.

Last night I just fixed myself a drink and watched the ball fall at Times Square, NY on TV after reading earlier. It was a quiet night.

The metro parks in Lorain county are closed and gated today so I can’t go for my walk. I’d go out to Rocky River reservation but it’s too much of a drive.

I needed desperately some chocolate on my diet and only had leftover Ghirardelli Chocolate Chips.

Serving size was 33 chips at 70 calories.

^ When I am watching calories from chocolate or snacks, I allow myself 100 to 120 and that can be enough...33 chips...one at a time and chewing slowly would not do in my craving.

Unfortunately though, my partner has lost his taste for all chocolate because of a respiratory infection last year...and I have pretty much lost my taste for it with Covid....

Doing some towels in the laundry.

About to shower and go to my neighbors to join them for lunch.

I'm baking three bread puddings. I'd put back the bread, and instead of making one large one as per normal, I split it. One is just plain bread pudding wtih vanilla and cinnamon. The second had coffee-infused dates (cut up), chopped apple, and pecans, with fresh nutmeg, cinnamon, honey & brandy. The third is trimmed white bread only, with a dark chocolate-chip based gnache, and chopped marachino cherries.

I plan on freezing back leftovers in ramekins to have over the next months as little treats.

Just girding my loins for the family calls.

Already did my one Aunt.
