Attention What are you doing at the moment? 2024-25

I'm texting with my twin sister trying very hard not to say anything that might provoke an in person visit. Love her dearly, I'm just not in the mood for that much socialising.LOL

Ended up doing nothing at all today...I have a viral infection and feeling a bit off, so I am reading Hercule Poirot's Early Cases in the back bedroom fort keeping our stray kitty Sissi company on her last day of lock-up.

She has been vetted and de-bugged this week, but last night I still found another blood engorged tick on her in a place she hadn't let me examine or skritch before so I used today to explore as much more as I could when she was 'relaxed'.

Almost a smile from her today, although she is not impressed that I am not feeding her hourly.

And listening to:

I'm busy trying to get used to life without a computer. I am fortunate in that at least I have a smartphone available that I can use to keep me connected to the Internet, but I am being reminded of how limiting smartphones are. Many people have told me in recent years that a smartphone is all that you need these days. Yeah, right.

Hercule Poirot's Early Cases

My local library acquired a bunch of new copies of Agatha Christie books a year or two back. I had fun reading them (even though in many cases it was re-reading, athough it had been so long that I had forgotten who did iir).

Recently, the library friend's ongoing sales shelf has provided me with some paperback copies of old Nero Wolf and Perry Mason books. I was happy to see them because they allowed me to replace some books that had been lost many years ago.

It's been fun rereading these as well, even though part of me misses the books that I once owned, I try to tell myself, however, that the important thing is the content, not the physical book...
