  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Attention What are you doing at the moment? 2024-25

It’s awful presumptuous to speak for God 🤣
Almost as much as it is to inject a religious attack in a thread and post having nothing to do with religion.

I'm fine with zingers and counter zingers. It's like having an extra cat. Slaps come out nowhere when Kitty is cranky.

Why would somebody give me a like for trapped gas?
I think many of us post a like as nothing more than confirmation that we've read someone's words.

It's a way of saying someone heard you. They took away the utility to leave someone a comment on a post, so this is all I'm left with, the Twitterine "like".

When I feel trapped gas high in my abdomen, it hurts, and it's a bit lonely in the middle of the night to hurt with no one to commiserate.

The late night and early morning posting on JUB feels a lot like some all-night coffee shop, where people go just to be around other people, not because they need to eat.

Oh I was trying to be funny. But great explanation J. Very nice. :luv2:

I just cleaned my computer screen with glass cleaner. I don't care.

We’re all allowed to have our own views and speak our minds. For someone that says this site is over moderated you sure like to tell members what they can’t post.

If you’re cranky, maybe it’s time for some medication.

Substituted and exaggerated.

Having an opinion about what is posted, and telling a member he "cannot" post, are really quite different things, aren't they? We all post our opinions about others' opinions, but we don't suggest they should be censored.

I said I was fine with zingers to fellow members, and the replies, and I am. I actively engage in both.

Leaving a COOL violation report with the FDA for my Aldi apple juice. I'm not wholly against importing fruit grown in the US, but I'd prefer to buy US apple juice due to the weight of shipping apple concentrate when it is not necessary. We have ample apple production domestically. Import that items that are not grown here.

Aldi's brand obsures the country of origin, in this case, Poland, by embossing it faintly on clear bottle, refusing to print it on labels that declare everything else about the product, front and back. When the bottle is filled, the emboss is all but invisible, and no ink is used, so it's intentionally obscuring the declaration.

No doubt the law was watered down when requiring COOL, and the FDA is doubtless minimally enforcing it. Even when we get "good" laws passed, the bastards still get loopholes that allow business as usual.

It is a baking bread and laundry and cleaning the boxes kind of Sunday.

I’m doing laundry and watching the Taylor Swift show at the football game.

Monday...back in the office now that everyone is past the Covid outbreak for this round.

Rummaging in the fridge for supper fixings. The half tub of ricotta is going down the drain and not into tonight's buttered egg noodles. It looks fine but with a blue cheese scent? Pass.

Unwinding after a wholly productive day at work. ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Wondering who invented Tuesday?

Just finished breakfast. Went to Dunkin Donuts to get it and there were four police cars in the lot and four policemen, three men and one woman, sitting in the store having coffee and conversation. That is probably all of the active police cars we have, although they all had their radios with them so they could hear of any emergencies. My suburb has about 16,000 people. Besides my coffee and a breakfast sandwich I asked for four donuts. After she put them in the bag she said one more. I figured that she didn't hear me and I was trying to figure out which one of the ones I had told her she had missed. On the drive I had to wait on two school busses picking up elementary children. A gas station I had passed had gas at $2.81 but had a gas tank truck in the lot. They usually lower their price before they get a load of gas to make room in their underground tanks and raise the price an hour after they get refills.

Now I have to go walk to try to loose weight, which doesn't seem to be working.

watching the husband "fix" a soft closing drawer....he just announced that it doesn't close anymore.....yay, another job well done..
