I just got the notice that the local Pridefest has been canceled today. I had previously signed up for a booth from noon to 2 PM, but the forecast is for rain today. We had one hell of a deluge last night, with 3 1/2" of rain officially at the airport. The radar this morning didn't look too bad for this area, but there's a huge area of rain to the south of us, and I can't tell if it's going to make its way up here. So I guess my schedule for today is suddenly wide open.

But it's supposed to be sunny and dry for tomorrow. The parade is scheduled, and the pride fest with booths and performers will go on as usual. I'm looking forward to a good day.

The article mentioned that the staff referred the complaining woman to the stalls. She had no reason to have to be undressed in the presence of the trans person. It was just aggressive behavior on her part.

It started poorly with our neighbours asking us to stop giving their dogs bones because they were puking them up...so I had to point out that it is their dogs who have figured out how to get the top of our compost bin wrenched off (BIG dogs)...but I will try to tie the top down to keep them out of it.

Just got back from my walk around the block. It is 44 F and damp and chilly. It isn't bad for a short while, but if you are out long enough it gets chilly.

Yesterday I had taken one of my sisters to the emergency room at the hospital just after 10:00 AM. They took her vitals and a blood test and then we sat, with others, in the waiting room. About noon my sister said I should go on home and she would continue to wait It isn't anything too serious.

I had figured out my federal income tax on scratch paper, but keep putting off doing it for real. I should do it because I am getting a refund.
