Realizing that the world isn't yellow.

With one eye implanted with a brand new tri-focal lens...I now see first hand what the difference is with ageing eyes. The new lens shows me a world of colour tinged in blues, while the other eye sees everything with a slightly yellowish cast.
 
Today, we had a visit from the lad who mowed our lawns years ago....and who is still drop dead gorgeous with 2 kids and a life out west...just didn't want him to go away this time.

And I am doing my taxes, which were due June 17...but I am late because of all the nonsense in my life right now and my one cat keeps jumping up and napping on the hard copy stuff so I have to take a break.

And it is raining and we are making risotto for dinner and I am still putting in the drops in my right eye every 4 hours.

And taking painkillers for abdominal pain.
 
I just brought in laundry that I dried outside. Nothing like a cumrag that has that fresh outdoor scent! :lol:
 
Still doing taxes...thank goodness for Turbotax.

But my cat is now laying on the spreadsheet printout so I have to take a break.

Have a headache and my eye hurts after a day of work though.
 
Yup.

I actually have a spreadsheet...3 different drops 4 times a day 4 hours apart.

I see the surgeon today for a progress check. And I am also prepping for eye#2 this Thursday.

I find my new lens still sensitive to the light.
 
Just finished pouring boiling water down the bathroom sinks to clear out soap, shaving cream and toothpaste from accumulating in the drain. Quarterly ritual.

We didn't with one rarely used sink and it was a $250 service call to get it unclogged recently.
 
I have been watching the thunderstorms and lighting passing by with the rain downpours. The sound is rather soothing listening to raindrops hitting the pavement as well as hitting the trees. The one sees beauty in.
 
Recovering from a month of heavy traveling. I've been up since 2:45 a.m. Barcelona time (aside from a fitful nap on the plane), and my body has no idea what time it is.
 
Supervising the construction crew at work while the owners are headed to their lake house 🤦🏻‍♂️
 
End of the week...worked from home this afternoon in order to also supervise the lawn maintenance guy and because my 2nd eye op is still fresh and I'm a puss.

So now I am enjoying a Guinness for my sins and making tomato sauce for our Calzones tomorrow night.
