Attention What are you doing at the moment? 2024-25

Relaxing in my hotel room at the STRAT Las Vegas. But I'm moving today; the STRAT is having an emo pool party and is booked solid, so I'm going to Silver Stevens.

No Kings Activists,

Tomorrow, we take to the streets in one of the biggest, lawful displays of nonviolent protest in American history.

We are going to protest.
We are going to chant.
We are going to show the world that we will not sit idly by and allow President Trump to turn democracy into dictatorship.

We will once again prove that this country is strongest when we are in community with each other working for the benefit of one another. While they try to stoke fear and division we will march with joy in unity.

So remember, this march is not just against President Trump and his abuses of power, it is for your friends, your families, your neighbors, and all of the incredible people of this country working toward a better future.

Let’s get you ready to make some noise and make No Kings Day a success:

Fight dictatorship together: Saturday, October 18

I will be with the protestors in spirit here in the wilds of Ontario.

But today I have to put together the turkey pies to freeze for winter meals.

And I am trying to get up the enthusiasm to clear away some workload this morning.

So instead, we went on a drive through our local forest and to an art exhibition opening to purchase a new piece of work by one of our favourite artists...
and now I have this second turkey pie to complete before I bugger off to read and nap today.

Drinking a glass of wine.

A few days ago, I read something that said that alcohol raises the chances of dementia. Part of me thinks that getting dementia might not be such a bad thing in this crazy era when the world seems to be close to falling apart at the seams.

Up early doing some cleaning today.

And now I was making offers on a few items from eBay.

I want that vintage copper teapot or else lady!

Don't make me come down there!

Recovering from a terrible night's sleep.

My sciatica is much worse when I lay down to sleep...even with taking Pregabalin before bedtime...common problem I see.

I was reading and getting sleepy so I reclined on the couch and took a nap, but 15 minutes later the doorbell rang and woke me up. AT&T has a new high speed line in the neighborhood and they are trying to sign people up for their service. The guy at the door was young, thin, tall, and had red hair and green eyes. He may have had a good basket in his pants, I'm not sure. I sent him away and now I am trying to calm down.

But if you get it, you'll need to spend more time cleaning on cleaning days to polish it!

Nope. :) It looks like someone already polished it very shiny. It has dings and dents and some soldering on the bottom.

Something so old I prefer a bit tarnished.

I wanted it to sit on top of a small faux fireplace in my basement.

It was $37.99 + approximately $10.00 in shipping and handling.

I offered her $30.00 and she turned it down.

B****!!!

^It's too bad, Vannie, that you A) didn't want this about 40 years ago, and B) didn't know my mother. She got a copper tea kettle as a gift that she did not like. She'd probably have given it to you for the huge sum of $0.

In bed after breakfast, recovering from Leather Pride past weekend.

A friend from England that I didn't see for ten years booked us a pleasant and indubitably extortionately priced hotelroom in the city centre.

Too bad I lost my leather muir cap.

A family friend died at '93 in hospital last night.

If you're talking about Amsterdam, then all city centre hotel rooms seem to be extortionately priced! Did you have a good time?

Too bad I lost my leather muir cap.

My condolences on your loss.

A family friend died at '93 in hospital last night.

Again, condolences on your loss. As they say, 93 is a good innings.
