  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Attention What are you doing at the moment? 2026

Working on my Christmas mailing. Better late than never!

Wait--with one quick change from writing 2025 to 2026, I'd actually be early!

We heated up some rum last night and then flamed the pudding...my great nephews were astounded that the food was on fire.

Did that the first year, before I got your recipe.

Made the pudding boiled in a cheese cloth.

Steaming in a tin worked better for us.

My mother was afraid for her China then.

But now everyone was happy.

Looking at a big water stain on the ceiling of the china pantry below the tub on the second floor.

We had a small leak show up years ago and could never trace it without tearing out the whole ceiling but I thought we had fixed it and no further damage appeared after changing the shower head.

Yesterday, we filled the tub to prep for a possible ice storm outage and let it empty this morning.

So obviously, the ceiling has to come out and the tub plumbing replaced...although I am now pondering replacing the tub with a tiled shower enclosure.

Every so often I go out into the front yard to pick up trash. Today is rubbish collection day and it is a day of strong winds, so there is rubbish blowing around from time to time.

Water leaks are the worst - hard to know exactly where they are coming from.

If you are going to tear everything out I would go with a walk in shower.

Completing some year end summaries of invoicing and working to beat the deadline for insurance application to submit before midnight.
