Just got off a Zoom meeting of my local tropical fruit club. I was on the board, but I didn't run again when they held elections in September. The whole meeting was talking about their exhibit at the fair coming up in about a week. My feeling is that they have no business putting on a fair in the age of Covid. Anyway, they were talking about selling fruit at the booth, something we never did, we were just an educational exhibit. But now they have to be mercenary, because the fair wants everybody with a booth to sell things. They were talking about getting the fruit to sell, running the purchases through their system, reimbursing the vendors, etc.

It all made me glad I'm no longer on the board. Not my problem!

They also wanted to get two "big strong men" to move a display case out of storage to the fair, and setting up out there. I was quieter than a tombstone in a cemetery! If they asked me, I would have given some excuse about having a prior commitment or my back acting up.
 
I was helping a neighbor that we don't know so well shovel part of his driveway. All of a sudden he started blowing copious amounts of snot out of his nose into the wind. It was flying everywhere. And wiped what was left on his sleeve. Thank God I was a distance away. And in a world with Covid.

I'm still nauseous.

Watching local high school basketball game that I have streaming from the internet to my TV. I have no interest in sports, but my next door neighbor boy is a Starting player. He is friendly towards me by waving whenever we are both outdoors at the same time, or if I'm driving past his house. He will chat with me if I ask him something. I suspect he is good enough at BB and football that he will be able to get a college/university scholarship.
 
Made batter for Yorkshire pudding, have the first fire of the season going in the cleaned and repaired woodstove, repaired the burd/squirbl feeder and just having a quiet day of reading, porn surfing, and doing all the little chores that are on the list.
 
Just finished a cream of asparagus cup-a-soup while watching some When TV Went bad compilation show.
 
About to pull the short ribs out and make the yorkshire puddings...after a totally lazy, bake bread and just loaf kind of day.

Opened a Catena Malbec for dinner. Perfect with the ribs I thinkl.
