  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What are you doing right now?

Just slowly getting quietly buzzed on a great Merlot after an hellaciously busy week, full of unexpected turns and twists....ready for a weekend of baking bread, finally removing the tree (with lights on only) from the dining room, reading some trash fiction, looking for some interesting porn, feeding the birds and generally waiting for spring.

Going through the boxful of books that just arrived from Amazon. I’m really looking forward to reading them :D

After a day of baking bread, adding more information to my partner's family tree and making stewed tomatoes from the harvest from our garden, I am just meandering on the web...and finishing up some paperwork for the fledgling non-profit I am working to get up and running.

Learning what?

I’m watching it snow :(

Looking for huge living room tv. Just what's the best quality picture. Looking at Samsung and LGs mostly.

I'm hoping that snow goes out to sea.

I’ve got a Samsung and I really like the picture quality.

You might find the reviews at PC Magazine useful.

Looking at a 43 inch Samsung that has good ratings for the bedroom.LED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV :? The LG 40 inch we had blacked out all of a sudden.

Living room is another story. I might have Best Buy install something nice.

Thanks for the linky :)

Stay safe CG^ :)

Some dipstick shoveled a mound of snow on my freshly clean walkway getting his car out. So I was clearing it once again at 6am

Bergen County received approximately 9 inches of snow in total. It kinda fooled you thinking the snow was finished but would lay down another few inches.

Feeding the woodstove, waiting for the furnace repair guy to get here. Not only is the compressor on the heat pump in need of repair now...the electric coil that is used for emergency or supplemental heat stopped in the middle of the night as well.

Fortunately we can keep the kitchen cozy....the challenge is making sure the plumbing in the far reaches stay warm enough. WE seem to be holding at about 10C in the rest of the house....so I am praying the temp outside stays where it is.

I had that situation a few winters ago -- the electric furnace died and we had to wait several days to get a replacement; I was feeding the basement wood stove and the living room fireplace insert twenty hours a day. I also baked a lot of cookies and let the oven keep the kitchen warm.

Watching the start of the Bengals v. Chiefs game

The weather is a little bit nicer so I decided to walk around the block for exercise. On the next street I passed a woman walking the other direction and we greeted and she said nice day to walk. As I came back around to my street I passed her again and she said "I saw your twin brother on the other street". She was being funny and I laughed because she knew it had been me and I don't have a twin brother. Although I don't know her, it is not too uncommon for people to be neighborly and friendly in my neighborhood.

Hope you are all doing well.

Recovering from a Monday.
