This morning I did some additional snow shoveling to what had been done earlier. The snow piles beside our driveway are above my waist.

This evening I just got back from seeing Momix, a dance group who creates illusions with acrobatics and lighting. It was at a downtown theater and was a good show.

This morning I did some additional snow shoveling to what had been done earlier. The snow piles beside our driveway are above my waist.

Last time I was in that situation I started cutting snow blocks from the drifts and stacking them. I built a wall and shoveled snow inside. We kept getting more snow, so I turned it into a snow pyramid with steps around the outside. Before winter was over I had two snow pyramids flanking the walk to the main door, about thirty feet high.

They looked something like this, except the steps went around and around and were steeper, and it was all snow--

Another time I did one like this, though mine was sloppier--

If you can cut snow blocks, relocating unwanted snow can be fun.

I've been dealing with a queasy stomach all day. I haven't had anything since breakfast except for a cup of hot tea this evening. I had to skip a Zoom meeting today, because the pain and discomfort made it impossible to concentrate. For some reason it seems I've been burping a lot of gas, though I haven't eaten anything unusual lately.

And the sadness of burying a beloved companion.

What is going on in our lives is nothing by comparison.

I used to get very bad migraines as well.
I can remember one morning opening the bedroom shades and the sunlight hit me like a bullet between my eyes. The migraine came on so quickly. I was in bed for a few days with ice packs and two fans going.

Went to a top neurologist who did every test known and he ended up telling me I had a migraine.

Have not had one in a long time.

I'm watching and pausing Ozark while puttering about the house.
