Just getting ready for a lovely Sunday dinner.
 
I saw my 10th movie at the Cleveland International Film Festival at noon today. This week I have seen people walking their dogs downtown and I had never seen anyone walking a dog downtown before. It occurred to me that no one has lived downtown Cleveland for 50 years and now people live downtown (and walk their dogs).

The last two days a red light has flickered on, on my dashboard for a minute when I would make a sharp turn. Today it stayed on long enough for me to see that it said "brake". The brakes felt fine, but I took the car in mid-afternoon and they said my brake fluid is low because there is a small leak in my brake line. They gave me a loaner car and will have it fixed tomorrow.
 
Most likely ruining my hearing by blasting a live version Toto's Africa in my ears.
 
Came home from the 11th and last film I am seeing live in the Cleveland International Film Festival.
 
Oh God. It is Spring.

So the outdoor work begins in earnest.

Spent the day clearing tangles of wild grape and brush along the west line that borders the lawns. I have to beat back the Dog Strangling vine and the only way I am going to do this is by taming the space between the new wood and the west lawn.

And I am fucking tuckered.

I burned off a big pile of wood because I want the ashes for my roses in the west bed.

And enjoyed the mass of a 1000 sq ft bed of snow drops and crocus that we started about 35 years ago.

Got to love Spring.

Take care not to go all out. Many beneficial insects could still be in hibernation this early in the season.
