One idea that I had was to get a bunch of friends together and do a Rome (HBO) thing with slaves chained together with Ceasar and/or Cleopatra whipping them into shape. Where do you get one of those penis decoration things that they used on the show when they gave the slave as a gift?
 
I'd love to dress up as the 10th Doctor Who. My partner bought me a pair of White Converse Trainers like David Tennant's for my birthday, and I have seen a suit like his but it's £100, bit expensive for a Halloween costume
 
.Man it's been a while since I actually planned for Halloween, usually I just give out candy with my Mom and if I don't it's usually completely spontaneous. But seeing all of these great ideas makes me want to think of a really good costume.

got a orange jumpsuit and a black bag over the head
with some wires attached to the suit

one year we found old flight attendant uniforms,
burnt them somewhat and added some bloody make up
we went as the flight attendants of flight 93
 
I'm going to be the loser guy that can't get anyone to hit on him, he has backpack around his back and he's standing at school.
 
I am growing a beard and mustache, going to stick my tongue out, paint it red, and go as a Hemorrhoid.
 
Well I was gonna go as steve irwin, with a lil plastic stingray attached to me, but I it might to TOO offensive for some people.

So now I'm going as Cruella De'vil, my hair is already like hers but im gonna get a wig anyhow =p Just trying to find a faux fur coat to make look like dalmatians, or maybe go really kitsch and actually carry a bloody stuffed one! hehe

hmmmm, our house is going out as a theme this year- our only issue is that we can't decide on a theme yet. One girl wants to go out as surfers and beach combers, one guy wants us all to dress up as lumber jacks (albeit sexy lumberjacks... in flannel). I haven't really come up with anything more creative than ad boosters: making up house t-shirts and flyers and pretending that we're selling stuff...or ourselves, whichever lol
 
this one is kinda lame but it was for the office (try to coordinate 30 people's outfits)

I had them all wear black shirts and black pants
and had black makeup around our right eye
we had cut out white felt "P"s pinned to our shirt

and we were
the black eyed peas!
 
I haven't done a costume in years (doing drag almost monthly takes some of the fun out of costumes), but a friend of mine is giving a party and I wanted to go... so I started hunting around on eBay for ideas and came up with some truly dazzling pirate drag. Avast! Ahoy! Arrr! Forty lashes on the poop deck, matey!

Of course, I can't just order a pirate costume in a bag... I have to go the whole hog and get high-quality costumery, all in black and white and silver, thigh-high leather boots and a velvet doublet and a real steel-bladed Spanish rapier on a tooled leather sword-belt. A velvet tricorn with curled ostrich feathers and a gorgeous skull-and-crossbones brooch. I already had the satin ruffly shirt and the velvet pants (bought for another costume, the last time I tried doing a costume), and I'm wondering if I can grow a goatee in two weeks.

I got pretty good bargains, but I'm $250 in the hole for this frivolity. But the boots and the sword alone are totally worth it! I've been swaggering around the house in my boots and drawing my sword for practice and it's the most fun!
