  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Attention What are you having for dinner?

Cold and damp as the storm moves in - so I wanted warm. Had chicken a la king in patty shells.

As do we all.

It is a conversation. Words said create impressions, reactions, and responses.

You don't want to discuss it. Got it.

Sorry I do not have time to discuss connections between meatballs/meatloaf and sausage, or have any need for the definition of what makes sausage a sausage.

I fully understand the history of sausage making.

I will contact The Pioneer Woman and tell her to change the name of her recipe to Pork Breakfast Patties.

Enjoy the day friend. :)

/\ I'm letting McDonald's have the last word on the matter. Seems they are selling a lot of their breakfast sandwiches, and people seem to know what to expect when they order them.:)

I’m attempting steaming fish from frozen in the instapot. I have frozen Alaskan pollock fillets I’ll have with sticky rice

Just starting to think about dinner now.

Not sure if I feel like cooking something or order something.

Split pea soup, which I carefully cooked myself, by expertly heating a pot of water to a boil and gently stirring in a package of instant split pea soup mix.

It will be (sigh) yet again a pot of the usual slop vegetable soup.

I had initally thought of chili, since I have some seasoning I want to try--but soup wins out in that I don't think I've been getting as much vegetable diversity as I should be getting as of late. Plus it allows me to use up some cabbage.

Made beef roast with onions and mushrooms in the instapot. Had it with broccoli. Very yummy.

Cottage cheese. I used up too many of today's calories on popcorn at the movies.

Had a craving for a hot corned beef sandwich - so I made a corned beef that made the house smell great all afternoon.

Made a quick capellini and meat sauce with extra garlic and EVOO

Shavings of parmesan and a salad.

And a Stewart's Root Beer

I am not a good cook and rarely cook dinner, but I did cook myself some breakfast this morning. We had left over egg from Sunday's French toast that I didn't want to waste, so I made myself half of a breakfast sandwich this morning. I made a slice of toast and cut it in half and folded over a slice of cheese on it and fried one slice of bacon to put on it and fried up the left-over egg from the French toast in a pan with oil. I put the egg on the sandwich and it was so slippery from the oil that it kept slipping out of the sandwich and making a mess. Many days I buy a breakfast sandwich from a fast food place and that is what I am tentatively planning for tomorrow morning.

Made a meatloaf tonight. Just sounded good to me and soon it will be grilling weather and I won't want to cook things that are in the oven for a long time.

Kielbasa, sauerkraut and carrots in the instapot. It was delicious.

Didn't feel good today. Lack of sleep.

Took a nap in the recliner and slept 3 hours. Yikes.

Just ordered Chinese. Feel starved.
