  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Attention What are you having for dinner?

Easy tonight.

I just put a chicken in the oven with baked potatoes wrapped in foil.

Just gonna make a salad soon. Found some nice large ripe strawberries at ShopRite for dessert.

Part Deux of the fish and clam chowdah from the other night.

It is so rich and chowdery...we could be on Cape Cod.

Appetizers anyone?

A portion from a family turkey TV dinner along with a salad on the side. Also a very small piece of a left over store bought cherry pie.

Amy's Green Curry frozen dinner. Some cherries. And some anti-oxidant rich blueberries that surely must be healthy, even though they were baked into a single serving pie...

Had some honey sweet mangos sliced up and some fresh pineapple and a scoop of cottage cheese.
Pineapple has an enzyme called bromelain that fights inflammation in the body.

Take that me203 :)

I enjoyed catfish and shrimp with a neighbor for lunch when we ran down the road to a local joint. The slaw was abysmal, but the rest was good.

I'm going to make either blueberry cobbler or fried pies, and maybe smoke some chicken thighs on the grill.

Im having a nice tongue.
I used do smoked beef tongue for 300 people at the Assisted Living Facility. And do a orange juice/zest reduction with raisins. Finished with butter. Sliced very thinly. The residents loved it.

Blech!

Did they know what it was, or did you have to slip them the tongue?

Some prime rib steaks and huge shrimp on the BBQ. With a warm german potato salad, green salad and chocolate cheesecake for dessert.

A lot of very frisky residents in their 90s.

They would get very handsy with me on the elevators.

I had the other half of a left over roast beef sandwich from Arby's and a small apple sauce cup and some macaroni salad and half of a donut for desert.
