Attention What are you having for dinner?

Too early to worry about dinner here, but it might end up split pea soup. The budget is reset, but I won't be getting to a store until tomorrow. When I get to see how much prices have gone up since Monday. Oh, well--it sounds less awful thinking: this cost $1 less last year! Even though that price was the price just a few days ago!

I was wondering about Banquet dinners. It's been years since I bought one, and I remember the price was generally a $1--and remained $1 a shockingly long time. I looked at one store's site, and they now charge $1.90. Wow.

For $1.90 there can't be much to them...

Since I'm in the middle of snowmageddon and stuck inside because of the ice and snow, I'm going to make lasagna this afternoon... unless the power goes out, and I can't use the oven.

I’ve got chicken paprikash for dinner.

Roast beef with roasted bruseels sprouts and Yorkshire puddings.

As a relief from the Roast Beef last night, tonight will be our breakfast for supper night with eggs, toast and sausage links.

Do the boys like the Ritz crackers or the tuna more?

Roast beef and Yorkshires, round two. yum.

We are being upgraded tonight. Own brand spaghetti is 29p, but for 75p I can get own brand linguine. Tastes just the same to me but it sounds so much better.

I vary the pastas I buy a bit. They end up pretty much the same thing, but at least there is some visual variety.

Like probably every other day this week: soup. At least (unlike the other days), I made it--it didn't come from a can.

I had some sour dough bread with it
