  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Attention What are you having for dinner?

Kind of a stew/shepherd's pie made of the remains of our prime rib roast and roasted veg dinner.

It was going to be a top crust pastry, but we also had some mashed potatoes left, so this is going to be dinner for at least 2 nights and likely a couple of lunches this week as well.

Mac and Cheese - not going to say what brand but it was the cheesiest
One of my guilty pleasure comfort foods...and never get to have it because we always make it from scratch.

The funny part it - made from scratch Mac and Cheese doesn't taste "right" to me. Something about that cheese from the dairy department does not seem as natural as the powered kind!

No - instead of being cheap and spending $0.89 on the store brand I spent the full $1.00 on the name brand - because I am worth it!
I just hope that extra cost won't be a barrier to meeting your financial goals!

I never tried making it from scratch. I'd hear arguments of "so much better"--and I can believe that it could be better. But my Inner Sloth really liked how easy and fast it was to make a boxed product...

My nephew dropped off homemade meatballs and fresh semolina bread. And I have fresh mozzarella. Maybe a quick salad.

And I'm making Dutch Almond Paste bars.

Last night was vegetable soup. Tonight might be vegetable soup for the third night in a row. We'll see.

It's cold, so something warm warm will be welcome.

Chicken teriyaki made in the instapot. With riced cauliflower and steamed carrots.

Leftover chicken teriyaki and baked beans
