Attention What are you having for dinner?

If you have ever eaten at a Popeye's you would know it is not the place to look for vegetables!
I never have been to one. When I did a search earlier, I discovered they have locations in my area that I didn't even know of, although both are in places I don't go very often. I also noticed the menu posted on-line makes it quite clear it's not a place to look for vegetables.

Tonight was bean based pasta served wtih Ragu jarred sauce. I can remember a time when I'd have gone past that part of the jarred sauce section for "something better!" But with grocery prices the way they are, and a really good Ragu sale last week, those purist days are over.

And - I hate to admit it - but Ragu has gotten a lot better over the years.

Im hoping a friend of mine brings me back a sausage and pepper sandwich and some cannoli from San Gennaro. :p

Tonight? It is Monday night sandwich night.

This week it is Coque Monsieur.

It had been a couple of weeks and I didn't want my free item coupon at Panda Express to expire...

So I used the coupon as my excuse to get Chinese.

Pot Roast (shredded), spinach bake, linguini (noodles), large soft drink, and 2 chocolate/oatmeal no-bake cookies...all for $6.25 at our local hospital cafeteria. It's so cheap to eat there. Granted it is not a large dinning area since it is really intended for hospital staff.

I treated my Nephew and Wife to Hot Grill in Clifton NJ

I had probably the most unhealthy dinner ever.

2 cheeseburgers with the works(chili and onions)

French fries with spicy gravy

And a chocolate milk shake.

Home of the worlds tastiest weiners.

Just reading about it caused my cholesterol numbers to skyrocket!

Went to Subway (first time in about 3 months) with a buddy and it was my turn to buy. Two footlongs, 2 drinks, 1 bag of chips for over $34 (before tip)! That's a lot for a couple of fancy blogna sandwiches.

I picked up a Philly Cheese Steak with grilled onions, peppers and mushrooms.

But after reading Vannie's post above now I am craving the world's tastiest weiner!
