What are you improving or working towards?

I am doing ancestry research, documenting and scanning a hundred years worth of family photos. Much of my family emigrated from Germany in the 1800s and I always wanted to learn German. So now that I have the time, I am doing Duolingo every day as well. I'm not doing too bad. I can now read and say a few basic things. But 16 ways to say "the", is nuts! But I am having fun too.

I can barely manage a word in German, but in my experience just about everyone in Germany speaks English.
 
I think I have given up on the idea of improving.

I know what I am very good at and what I cannot do.

I suppose I should say...learning to hold my patience and my tongue...or learning to be kinder.
