At this very moment, I am listening to the new Vintersorg (Andreas Hedlund) album, 'Naturbål' (apparently, the title means "Nature's Bonfire", in Swedish (according to Wikipedia... although, according to other sources, it means the equivalent to 'freeballing' or 'going-commando' ... any Swedes here who could offer clarity on the title?).
Whatever... it's a good album (if you are into Northern European black metal, of the melodic/folk/progressive/'Viking' genre... ie, if you like Borknagar, chances are you will enjoy this offering).
The songs are mostly very anthemic; very melodic; and catchy as fuck...(although the album suffers from the usual modern-day over-produced/maximized-to-death/why-is-contemporary-music-so-afraid-of-dynamic-range/generically-shite/production .... hopefully soon to come to an end now that the 'loudness-war' has been lost).
Bonus points are awarded to Mr Hedlund for singing in Swedish.
I won't bother posting a link or YouTube promo ... I expect most other Jubbers are (much like myself) far too interested in listening to their own choice of sonic-wallpaper to bother wasting their time on stuff posted by others).
