Tal Bachman - She's So High

Classic 1999 pop jam from this son of rocker Randy Bachman. Love those clean, layered guitar lines it has goin' on - electric picking and acoustic strumming. He's not bad on the eyes either.

One of the biggest criticisms Sade recieved in her native England back in the day was that her music was for "yuppies" and jet-setters, but a lot of her songs address serious issues like poverty and prostitution. This song is about the latter and I love how she doesn't judge the sex worker she's singing about. She's simply sharing the story, but you can also feel the compassion in her voice. Love the "sing it, girl!"'s from the sistas in the audience.
