What Are You Playing?

Still knee deep in RESISTANCE 2. I have been having a blast playing the game on CO-OP mode. For some odd reason, I've never enjoyed playing FPS in competitive modes but this CO-OP thing is ultra cool. My plan is to max out all 3 classes by the end of next week. However, I don't know what to play next. I have a lot of games out on the coffee table but my interest in some of them waxes and wanes. Maybe PERSONA 4 or even King of Fighters: OROCHI SAGA (now this collection brings back memories of the dark smokey arcades I used to frequent as a youth in Malaysia).

Yeah :) I'm just comparing that way though because I played Prototype first.

Fair enough :)

I just realised that it is very difficult to convey tone through a forum. Lest I was to add. "Sam said raising his eyebrows light heartedly, with a slight smile"

I don't mean to sound rude or condescending when, sometimes I do.

:D

Who told you it's region locked? My US copy works fine on a UK PS3. They have a special edition version that comes with a couple of music CD's and also a strategy guide on a BD disc. So far I like the game. The graphics are really nice, and there are plenty of nice effects and special moves. The sprites are typically Manga in design. Well worth a purchase if you can hold of a copy. It's just a pain to play it on a PS3 pad but it seems you can pull off special moves using the right thumbstick as well.

I don't have a PS3 yet. Waiting for a price drop. Ya here that Sony. A customer if you drop the damn price. Go on do it, do it.

The 360 version is region protected. I checked from a few different sources.

As for using a pad. Not me. Stick all they way. ;)

Occasionally playing the Kelfling game for XBox. It's a fun game for about an hour, then I turn it off and forget about it for a month. :)

Currently getting some game time with some XBOX Live Arcade Titles.
Downloaded the demo of Splosion man.
Pretty good, but not sure about getting the full version though. Currently musing on it.

Call of duty 4, I'm 2nd prestige rank 45

for those who play you understand^^

I play ps3.

Counterstrike source and Battlefield 2142 on pc

Star Hogs for iPhone.

Unfortunately Team 17 did not care enough to make a decent worms port. Pocket Tanks is fun but no online play.

But Star Hogs is just amazing. It's the best tank like shooter game ever. And it's in space and the little gravity makes for interesting moves like firing a rocket halfway around the planet just to hit the person. There isn't much lag online either.

I am starting to play Resident Evil 4 for iPhone too. It is amazing. I never played the gamecube version but the iPhone version kicks ass. I can't believe how great the graphics are and how well the game runs.

I beat the legendary starfy for ds recently as well. That game really did kick ass.

Just got Call of Duty 4 on Tuesday. Playing the campaign on Recruit. Yes, laugh all you like. It's my first FPS (Since now, I've only stuck to RPGs) so I'm learning the ropes.

bump.

What are we playing now fellas?

I'm on leave from work at the mo. (!) \:/ (UU)

I plan on getting stuck into all those games I've got but havn't touched like Assasins Creed and Resident Evil 5.

But right now I'm back into Red Alert 3. Up the commies.

Playing Gmod to get a HL2 fix till ep3 comes out, hopefully before I die. lol :D

Dead Space: AWESOME. Dude, that game rocked my world more than most guys have!

SF4: hmmmm, is "underwhelming" the word I'm looking for? Don't get me wrong, it's a superb game. I was just expecting... more.

Right now, I am knee and eyeball deep in Devil may Cry 4. It became cheap enough for me to invest some dollars and hours into it. I love it and hate it at the same time. Great fighting mechanics but the voice-overs are horrible (why are they constantly screaming?!) and the puzzles make me wanna stop playing. Thank gawd for game guides!!

Also playing a classic: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the arcade game from XBOX LIVE. Talk about reliving your childhood. Alls I need now is for my mum to drag me away screaming and kicking and it'll be 1989-1990 again. I wish my BF would join me...

I completely understand. It is a great game, especially if one has not been introduced to the SF series before; however, it does not live up to the hype for me, especially after playing every SF game that has ever existed.

The graphics have definitely improved. The gameplay has also improved to a certain extent. However, it did not really seem to do anything really innovative that has not been done in some other fighting game (or even within the Street Fighter world) at this point. The older characters did not gain any new moves, unless one considers the Ultra Combos. The new characters are rather forgettable for the most part.

However, I like the game and I enjoy playing it. It will definitely hold me until MUA2 is released.

BURNOUT PARADISE

This game is so epic now. I got it when it came out and it was fun especially playing online.

I appreciate it a lot more now though especially since I now have my license and am becoming a good driver.

I love how freeform and open the huge world is in this game. I love driving into the mountains, on the pipeline, going into the city and just going off massive jumps and racing and taking down cars.

I also bought the "Jensen 88 Special" which is the car from back to the future. IT EVEN HAS HOVER MODE!. It's so awesome. I've played online again too and it's a lot more fun. There is also an expansion add on called "Big Surf Island." It's DLC content but it opens up a new area with more jumps and cars. I am gonna get it soon. It is just so much fun to drive around. This is probably the best burnout game ever.

I really did enjoy burnout revenge but this game is just so much better. I just wish this game had two player. I don't have any problem if they keep adding more content, cars, and new modes onto this game and don't release a new burnout game for quite a while. Because it's working. Just like Rock Band 2 is working. They don't have to come out with a new Rock Band game every year to make money and keeping people interested in it. They deliver at least 8 DLC songs each week now. While Guitar Hero has to release a game every year to keep people interested and than people lose their DLC songs and have another migration and have to get used to the new and declining UI.

Even with Guitar Hero games like Metallica, Aerosmith, and Van Halen, Rock Band has beaten them with the beatles.

There will actually be downloadable contesnt for Rock Band: The Beatles and it looks like loads of more artist content than Guitar Hero has delivered.

But still. It's working for activision. And GH5 does look cool.

Oh right on the iPhone I'm playing "Star Hogs". It kicks so much ass.

Flower.

Funny, I didn't think I was going to like it but it is really addictive. I love it.

Also, Call Of Juarez - it's alright, nothing really special (any western game is better than none) but I'm waiting for Red Dead Redemption.
