What Are You Playing?

Beat Bioshock 2 and loved it. The emotional bond between Delta and Eleanor was amazing, especially as it was conveyed in a video game.

Playing through Heavy Rain now, really enjoying it, and I'm getting so stressed at certain point!

I'm waiting for God of War 3, and will probably pick up FF13 sometime in the next few months.

As of this moment, playing Mortal Kombat: Deception. It's old as hell. Don't have FFXIII yet, but it's definitely on my to get list right along with Star Ocean International.

I need money... DX

Well, you don't know me, but I did :-) I wish it was a cooler game

I've started replaying Final Fantasy IX because I'm jealous of all the people with PS3's and FFXIII :(.

Was chatting about XII with EP the other day.

I really did love some parts of that game - mainly exploring the world and finding cool things/enemies buried way at the bottom of mine shafts, unknown cave systems, etc.

It's a shame the actual plot or anything wasn't so interesting...

What?! I thought XII had the best story out of all the FFs. Some people thought it was a Star Wars rip off, but I don't like Star Wars so it didn't matter to me. And XII deserves a few bonus points for having none of the main protagonists fall in love with each other throughout the entire story (I don't think Fran and Balthier qualify).

Also, this game was HARD. It's easy to die at level 77, which I can attest to.

Picked up FF XIII today and played it for, like, five hours. It's really addicting. I heard a lot of whining because it was too "linear" but it really hasn't bothered me that much...the combat is a lot of fun, especially when you get paradigms, and the game is very nice visually. I also find the story intriguing. I like long ass games, and I'm hoping to sink some serious time into this one. :D

Been playing some older games waiting for GTA: Episodes From Liberty City to come out to PS3 and PC.

I noticed one of my friends had Monster Rancher 3 and I had to borrow it from them.

I remember playing the first one way back when; it was like crack. I just couldn't stop playing it

I've been playing FF13 but I'm going to be taking a break when God of War III comes out tonight. Anyone else picking it up at midnight?

I'm getting really jealous of you PS3 owners myself.
Fortunately, I had saved up some spending and went on a quick PS2 game spending spree. I picked up Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection, Burnout Anthology and Shadow Hearts: From the New World. In the Metal Gear collection, it has Metal Gear Solid 1, 2 and 3, the Burnout collection has Takedown, Dominator and Revenge. Right now I'm playing the hell out of Burnout: Revenge, I love this game so much, it makes my dick hard just playing it. (!w!)

You don't have a PS3? It seems the only good games out right now are the Exclusives. (Heavy Rain, God of War III, and Uncharted 2)

I'm gonna leave to get it in a few minutes. I played the shit out of GoW Collection not too long ago, so I'm excited to jump right back in. Gotta give FF13 a break then....

What?! I thought XII had the best story out of all the FFs.

Well at least you didn't say it had the most "mature" or most "political", cause thats really not true. Personally I thought the story was lacking in anything interesting, not helped by lack luster characters. I wouldn't have minded one or more of the characters falling in love with each other, at least then we'd get some characterisation out of them.

30 hours into FFXIII and I've finally reached Gran Pulse. This is where the reviews are all saying the game really picks up so we'll see... (But I've loved every second so far)

EP will be pleased to hear that XIII has it's own 'mission' system, like the marks from XII.

Phew. After having to swap discs (Xbox owner) at just under 9 hours I was worrying XIII wouldn't have the length of the other FF's and RPG's. You've put my fears to rest, thank you ^_^.

currently addicted to LEGO Rock Band for Wii.

i never got into the whole Guitar Hero/Rock Band thing, but my mom gave me the Beatles one for my b-day & my partner bought the LEGO one (we're big fans of the LEGO games) and i've stayed up too late almost every night since playing it.

The story was alright. I don't even remember what really happened, lol. It's the combat system that annoyed me though. Once you set up those rules or whatever they're called, I just had to approach an enemy and let my characters finish it off. I miss the old days of controlling all three characters. The story kind of reminded me of Skies of Arcadia. Mainly, the air pirates part. I miss that game.

God of War 3 and Just Cause 2.

Eagerly awaiting the new Splinter Cell. The demo is kick ass.
