Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What are you reading right now?

An amazing book about looking to nature for design solutions to man-made problems (amongst other things)!

I ' m reading "Snow" by Orhan Pamuk. I had read "My Name is Red" by him last summer. He's becoming one of my favourite writers.

A couple weeks ago I read this:

It was surprisingly good. I'm not usually into this type of book, but I was at my sister's house without internet and had already finished 11th Month, 11th Day, 11th Hour, so I gave it a shot. I wasn't disappointed.

I'm rereading the Harry Potter series (for the 5th time ) so it can all be fresh in my mind when the new book comes out.

Llearra, wasn't Jessup the woman who served on all three ship, Brittanic, Olympic and Titanic?

The Good Guy.....Dean Koontz

I went to Dean Kootz's house in Newport Beach (Balboa Peninsula, to be exact) to help adjust a custom chandelier that I designed for him. I didn't know who he was at the time, but my sister did. He said that one side of the chandelier was 1/4" lower than the other - I thought that was a bit anal. I adjusted some screws and put 1" diameter brass balls in the "high" side to weight it down. I don't think he'll notice the balls unless there is an earthquake.

I'm reading Greek Cooking in an American Kitchen.

I just finished two AMAZING books.

"Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys" - Melissa de la Cruz and Tom Dolby
"From Boys to Men" - Ted Gideonse and Rob Williams

I may have a bias because I never read gay books before I came out, but I thought they were amazing. I could relate so well to the essays in both of them.

I really tried to get through Royals and the Reich.

Okay, no, that's not totally true. I started reading it, got busy with fireworks stuff and a mini-vaca and have now lost interest in it. So I'm kind of at a loss. I'll either read Red Storm on the Reich or re-read Like People In History.
