  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

what color would you paint my living room?

Maybe you can go over there, take a quick photo of the room and post it here?

I would go with a shade of white for the living room based on the colors you posted. Maybe a cream color or ivory.

I wouldn't paint your living room, because I'm not your friggin' handyman. Paint your own damn living room. :D

If the furniture is already colourful, keep the walls white.

Kill Bill. so, yellow, red and black? I like more than one wall color in a room. The trick is how you divvy it up. Think about how the furniture will be placed against your color picks. When you look at paint, get samples to try on the wall and compare to your stuff. Doing that can take you places you never thought you go.
so be open minded and have fun...

I vote for white or maybe some shade of grey would work also.

Love the poster! Your Aunt has given you a great oppertunity to play and live with colors. Don't go neutral, it is just paint, you can change it and you won't live there forever. :D

From my many hours of watching Designed To Sell on HGTV...I'd say cream or tan with white trim.

And buy pillows and art work with all the furniture colors in them.

Having said that: I did NOT get the gay decorating gene. I like blue, so I have a lot of blue.

I personally wouldn't paint anything or plan on anything long term....I mean a 90 year old great aunt !...... Now if you have some type of written agreement or something firm standing that you won't be without a place to live if anything happens to her....then maybe.... and only maybe....but that's me...lol

You should go with something neutral.

Not white though, it's too bright for that stuff. The best thing to do is take a photo, and then use a photo-editing program to colour your walls to see how you like it.

I'd try a light beige/tan colour.
