Well, I wasn't asked which provinces in Canada or which states I'd visited, but I will list them anyway:

Canada (west to east) - British Columbia, Alberta, flew over Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Quebec, rode a train through New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.

US - New York State, drove through Connecticut & Massachusetts & New Hampshire, and Vermont. (All in the same weekend.)

I also rode a train through Maine on my way to Nova Scotia.

never been outside Europe yet though

Ah! ... Each STATE can be considered quite different from any others! And the best part? You don't need a passport (at least Yet!) to travel between any of them! (!w!)
