  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What did you guys have for supper?

I have a pot of homemade spaghetti sauce on the stove right now. Full of mushrooms, chunks of tomato, and plenty of seasonings.

Pfft! Kids!

I'm making some grilled szechwan pepper encrusted beef tenderloins with a madeira mustard sauce and some wasabi mashed potatoes.

For two!

:p

Baked meatballs, wild rice and mixed veggies. Simple but delicious

I made my own sushi tonight! I'm so proud of myself. I'm more Asian than most of my Asian friends....it's fun.

My daughter-in-law cooked
garlic roasted pork, grilled vegatables,
and fresh homemade apple sauce. It was
very tasty.
Shep+ and I did not have to cook.

I made stuffed red bell peppers with 93%lean ground beef, onions, garlic, celery, crushed crackers, a pinch of sugar, a dash of worchestershire, a dash of liquid smoke, a cup of red wine, some more spices out of bottles, and some fresh chopped parsley. The recipe called for both momato soup and tomato sauce. I used neither, but added a can of Progresso brand savory tomato soup, and a dash of catsup.
It sounds a bit labor intensive, but wasn't really, considering the end result. My guests enjoyed them and so did I.

Parboilded the peppers after gutting them, then baked in a Pyrex dish for 45 minutes at 350 oven.

Green peppers are what I usually use, but I had the red ones, and that was fine. With this I served some leftover ovenroasted vegetables.

Pork roast, scalloped potatoes, veggies, salad, and a really good cake from scratch

(is what I had over at my friends' house tonight. They cool really well. My most recent "meal" at home consisted of beer, tortilla chips and guacamole from a pouch.)

I had a craving so made myself a pot of Chili (no beans) but ground the meat in the old-fashioned meat grinder myself--I like it coarse and also can cut out the fat.

Accompanied by a spinach salad with hot bacon dressing.

And a frozen 'fun size' Nestle Crunch bar for dessert.

Didn't feel like cooking today so, i went to Nellos' Pizza...A Hawaiian w/black olives :D

I roasted game hens in olive oil, butter, and rosemary. They were served with sauteed kale, and a side of turnips. There were also some mashed potatoes on the side.... Oh, and a glass or two of California zinfandel.

I'm going to NineOfClubs for dinner next time.

Yum!

A turkey and swiss sandwich on white mountain bread with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, green peppers, and vinegar.

My father just retired after 36 years of military service.

So, tomorrow, I'm making some stuff that's bad for you, but tastes soo good.

Chicken and dumplings
collard greens
mashed spuds (w/ oyster juice, lots of butter, and garlic)
corn bread
home-made mac n' cheese w/ crumbled italian sausage.

And a nice half-barrel of Heineken. I'd get some Schlitz, but it's hard to find.

So the ol' man and I will be stuffed and drunk off our arses. (!)
