  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What did you have for dinner?

Chilly Cheese Fries.... I know, I know Unhealthy! lol

PB&J and a couple of plums. It was way too hot to cook.

Had a late lunch of London Broil w/ mushroom gravy and nicely browned home fries.

Was feeling a bit under the weather, went to bed early.

Today I was bach'n it for dinner.

Was trying out our local wifi w/ my DSL carrier to see how it works in one area they have a lot of coverage in - so, I had to pick what was in the area --
PIZZA (w/ thanks to HR & Tantiboh - If you've read their threads, you know, if you haven't, you should!)lol

In this case, it really was pizza - two slices plus a Corona.

Not bad, not great.

I cut up a rib eye steak and made 2 kebobs. Froze one and cooked the other. Served it with white rice

TASTY BITE brand - Madras Lentils. (I added a bunch of bean sprouts, 2 scrambled eggs, a bunch of mushrooms, and additional seasoning with curry, black pepper, and powdered seaweed.) I ate half, refrigerated the other half.

Nowadays my main meal at home is probably Asian about as often as North American.

Also had a pretty large salad with spring mix and alfalfa sprouts, and a red pepper type dressing.

Entirely vegetarian today, which seems particularly common on Wednesdays.

Steak marinated in McCormick's Southwest Marinade Mix and grilled over REAL Charcoal
Pasta Salad w/sliced olives and pepperoni and Caesar dressing
Leftover Sweet Corn
Lemonade

Perfect ending for a hot summer day.

Had some appetizer snacks early, a little sauteed steak later. Not a lot.

Another vegetarian day for me.

Four large pancakes made from BETTE'S Buckwheat Pancake Mix. (This can only be bought on the Internet - and it is, by far, the best pancake mix I have ever found! - comes from Bette's Oceanview Diner in Oakland.) I used real maple syrup and butter, as well.

My "salad" was a small container of red raspberries.

Pan-Seared Steelhead Trout, Poached w/ Local Estate Bottled French Oak Chardonnay,
Steamed Asparagus
Steamed and Baked Cauliflower w/Bread Crumb and Parmesan topping
Blueberry Muffin
Some of the Chardonnay in a glass to accompany the Trout.
